Vigouroux. 7. Distribution was better. Can’t remember a save.
Akinola. 7.5. Solid along with the rest of the defence.
Turley. 9. MOM. Bit generous perhaps but was in the way of everything. Great game especially as it was our defence against there team as our midfield were non existent.
Happe. 8. Excellent alongside Turley.
Widdowson. 7.5 Another defender who played well. The defence gave us the chance to snatch the win.
Kemp. 6. Quite game. Wet, Windy and a battle not necessarily his scene.
Clay. 5.5. Poor. Terrible touch and gives the ball away so often.
Cisse. 6. Not much better than Clay. So slow. Him and Clay get an extra point because we won. They should buy Turley a drink.
Macanuff. 6. Barely touched it.
Wilkinson. 7.5. Couple of good efforts on goal and a well taken goal.
Johnson. 6. Slightly better this week. Not by much. All round game is poor.
Subs. 6.
Carlisle. 6. Average.
Ref. 7. Good game.
Macanuff. 7. Could he be one of those lucky managers. We did not deserve that. All about our defence who were excellent to a man.

Totally agree. One of the best performances of the season.

Slightly high for Turley and slightly low for Clay - the whole midfield were decidedly average but didn’t stop battling - but yeah, I’d go along with that.
Need to take into consideration the conditions, they were awful.

Turley was superb - He won literally all of his battles and gave nothing away. Great to see him finding form and getting a run in the side.

Yes.
But he was up against his ideal opponent today, and Saturday for that - the strong, quick battering ram type with no finesse.

Turley could not even find a place on the bench earlier in the season yet people were asking why we were questioning things...

Different managers/head coaches like different players for different reasons. This happens at every club in the country has been the case for donkeys years.

No.
Turley let Embleton down by getting needlessly sent off, so Ross banished him.

The fact he let him down is surely a reason to prefer others to him though.

He didn’t let him down. He got sent off, it happens. People make mistakes, Embleton of all people should know that.
Embleton was just a bit emotionally retarded like that, he always took things too personally and over reacted. See the clashes with wotsit at Bromley, the stuff with Ebou, and then Cooper and Adams on the stairs.

It could be he was trying a bit too hard to be seen as tough, I guess.

He got a red in a nothing cup game, hardly reason to be banished from the squad when we were in short supply at the back. That was just poor man management, which was always the reason that job was never a good fit.
Glad for Turley, he gives us that bit of extra grit and determination that's been lacking.

Definitely. The Bromley incident where he was sent off sticks in my mind as a case where he totally lost his cool unecessarily and we all know you make poor decisions when you're angry.

Definitely. I really hope he stays another season too.

All the players deserve credit for last nights brilliant result. Carlisle is always a very difficult away fixture.

Yes, especially on a cold, wet and windy Tuesday night.

Turley will be 31 in April. Can`t see him get more than a one-year deal.

I wish I was that old! I wouldn't think that 31 is old, especially in League 2 terms. Look at Macanuff.

And I wouldn't give him more than a year, especially given his injury record.
I can't see anyone else giving him more than that so we should be able to sort it with him.
