But back on topic - I saw Lingy was out in the states again doing these training camps like last summer, so presumably not until he’s finished those?

Try and keep up Dis,Cheek has already gone to Bromley. Adams and all the other contracted players at Ebbsfleet have been told they can go a free if he can fix themselves up before June, doubt he is on our wanted list or we are on his but you never know.

I think Justin's on holiday as well, but to be honest I don't think Ling being in the U.S. would stop us signing anyone. I'm sure other directors could sign contracts if they are pre-agreed.

Remember it is Lings way to wait for the fallout from deals higher up. like where a third midfield player has dropped to fourth in the pecking order due to a new player being bought in.

Smart strategy although a tad risky. I guess the financial realities mean he'd have to see who is getting elbowed out rather than selecting specific players he/JE actually want.

People are allowed a holiday after a long season. I’m sure we are talking to people, but at the same time it’s a bit of down time with the family before getting on with the job at hand.
People need a rest.

Agreed there is no rush, players won't go back until end of June start of July. As you say we will already have spoken to some of our targets.

Last season we were slow out of the blocks and got left with Alabi and Gorman. Get the key deals done and then holiday for 4 weeks

Of course they should be sorting stuff out now. It ain’t 10 hours straight, 6 days a week ffs. A few phone calls and possibly some meeting, that’s it. They should be able to manage that without burning out.
