Him, Kemp and Abrahams haven’t improved us at allMistadobalina wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 1:28 pm The midfield is completely missing. Still waiting to see the player Wycombe fans told us we were getting in Freeman.

Exeter are faster than us. How many times have I written that about the opposition, this season. Too many times.

Everyone getting hyped after scraping a 1-0 against the team bottom of the football league.
This, my friends, is what we call a reality check.
The cheap option won’t pay off. Until this club hires an actual football manager we are going nowhere.

and he's not even on the subs bench. That is the one downside of Jobi getting the job. Clay needs to find his mojo because he's been coasting for months and months. He doesn't win the ball, he doesn't take up dangerous positions, he doesn't run with the ball, he doesn't play dangerous passes, he doesn't make assists, he doesn't score goals. At best clay offers himself as a safe passing option for the those around him but our momentum just fizzles out around him. Be something. Do something. Make a difference.

This game showing what we need in summer, a Vincelot / Dawson to dominate midfield. Haven't got the legs in there.
Give Kyprianou a go for Cissé, can't do much worse. Freeman also deserves to be hooked for this half, very poor.

Hotdogs rates Freeman. He has been awful since joining us.

Getting a reminder as to why Turley hasn't played much. Decent squad option but his distribution is appalling. 50/50 as to whether he gives it away and it invites so much pressure.

Got in behind Akinola again, relief that Vigoroux makes the save this time. Needed that to steady his nerves.

Exeter are simply quicker to everything, closing us down, feels like we're playing to keep the score down.

The way we’re set up, and the personnel we’ve got on the pitch, just seem so unbalanced and dysfunctional. Really hope Jobi is willing to make some radical changes to the way we play.

Tbf midfield is giving him nothing to work with, they've been invisible much of this half.Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 1:39 pm Getting a reminder as to why Turley hasn't played much. Johnson doesn't look the same player since returning from injury. I'd give Abrahams a go.
3-0 now

Re: Matchday/Exiles thread 6/3/21 vs Exeter
Exeter are a decent side. Questions need to be asked about the marking for both goals as whilst the keeper should have saved both you could make a case that it shouldn’t have got to him.
Too many long aimless and hopeful long balls where we don’t have an outlet to receive. All we end up doing is conceding the ball to Exeter who are running us ragged.

Re: Matchday/Exiles thread 6/3/21 vs Exeter
Bearing in mind our obvious deficiency is a dearth of players willing to press, close down, mark, go into contact, ie doing the L2 things even Embleton started commenting on, signing those two pathetically effete players was a risible recruitment decision.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 1:30 pmHim, Kemp and Abrahams haven’t improved us at allMistadobalina wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 1:28 pm The midfield is completely missing.
