Football League Play-off finals

Post by Esteban »

The three finals are taking place this weekend.

Who is your preference for each?

League 2

Newport Country V Tranmere

Would like Tranmere to win this one. Would be nice to see a team manage back-to-back promotions from the NL to League 1. Also, AwayDays by Kevin Sampson is a great book.

League 1

Charlton V Sunderland

Work with a supplier who supports Sunderland. Really nice bloke. Plus Charlton have never excited me.

Championship

Villa v Derby

Difficult one this. Terry or Lampard? Terry is more unlikable but he's not actually manager. Also, Derby are generally awful when they make it to the Premier League, so Villa it is.

Aston Villa - Deano, and they have the best ground in England.
Charlton - their supporters deserve it.
Tranmere - don`t like Newport.

Tranmere, as I prefer the idea of a visit to Newport next season, as I know more people out that way (though Tranmere wouldn't be bad either)

Charlton, as I fancy the idea of a weekend in Sunderland, and being just one division away from them brings that closer in range

Villa, because of Deano

Nah. Second best.

Villa/Charlton/Tranmere for me.

Deano/the Netflix documentary will be funny/great for their supporters after some difficult years.

Newport cos I can't wait to rip into Caprice.
