When can we get a decent manager in 💩

When Ross is sacked he will go back to coaching (which he is excellent at) because no one thinks his done a good job and will want to have him as there manage.
I would get jobi in as manager until the rest of the season and see what results are like.

But we have improved since last season, despite a squad half full of NL players. So I think he is doing quite well and we can do without your Beelzebub-like sacking ideas.

You have a look at the list of available managers. Most of them will have 1 or 2 failures/sackings on their CV.
There's a lot of out of work managers, but not many successful ones.

Most managers have been sacked and been failures

We may have improved over where we were last season but you have to take into account that quite a few clubs have games in hand over us.
If we had a proven, experienced Manager at this level or above we would be nailed on at this moment in time for at least the play offs if not automatic promotion.
No good having players of a good standard for this division or above (obviously Son Of DOF excluded) and having a Manager that who is neither proven or experienced and clearly just isn’t up to the job.

I'm against getting a successful manager in. It just wouldn't be the same without someone to vilify every week and occasionally twice a week.

Lot of guessing in your comment, but if any of this does come to pass before the end of this season ( doubtful that it will happen like this )
Then if it was decided to appoint a manager out of the remaining coaching staff, I would give Danny Senda the job with Jobi as his number 2.

He will be OK when he has completed his training programme. In the meantime we must be patient and be prepared to watch utterly boring football most of the time. It’s the new normal.

Totally agree with that last point. The last two games we played under Senda were amongst our better efforts. I wonder if the players respond to him and his knowledge better. When 10 words are needed he chooses 10 good ones. Ross probably uses 25 and confuses the hell out of those who can stay awake.

Ross is scared of his own shadow, hence the defensive cautious approach.
I really like the bloke, but he'll never make a manager.NEVER. Its like watching the team under Steve Davis again

One person compares Embleton to Davis yesterday and suddenly the hard of thinking are out in force banswagonning the same thing
Where did Davis get us in the table and where has Embleton?

If Davis had had Johnston, he would have had us top half too.
Danny Johnston has wallpapered over the cracks as far as Ross is concerned. Take Danny's goals away, and then see where we would be in the league

FWIW I don't think Embleton and Davis are similar at all - but worth observing that Davis inherited a total shitshow, whereas Embleton inherited a team & club with a lot of forward momentum. I know JE's death was a massive setback, but the whole point of putting RE in charge was that he could carry forward all the good work in motion and keep the same spirit and culture.

I can see Ross staying as manager till the end of the season then being demoted to coach whist a new face comes in . No doubt it will rustle a few feathers on here but that's the way I see it .

Have to disagree Sid.
There is no evidence that Senda has the makings of a good manager.
If they sack Ross ( which I don’t believe they should) then we will have to look outside.
I don’t think moving Ross back to coaching will be of any benefit to anyone.
I think Ross will get there in the end but it’s painful to watch.

There is no way of Embleton being demoted back to coach as he accepted the job that there was no safety net back to coach, can’t see Nigel and Kent going back on the deal and losing their credibility.

Probably Orient bearing the WORST team in the league Southend 2-0 when all the
bed wetters were panicking before hand that we might lose .
And a game most said was a hard fought TURGID 1-0 win against Salford.

So you would fire RE as he doesn't have good management experience and would put someone in who has even less management experience in charge?

Good point but hopefully not for long. I suppose when he leaves we will just have to find someone else to victimise and tear to shreds.
