Didn’t realise how windy it was on the stream.
Not the most eloquent but I get what he’s saying. But he’s wrong. It’s not about game management, it’s about failing to make sufficient chances when on top. And that’s because of the players he’s playing and the formation he’s setting them up in.

What, when the balls were blowing off the corner spots and the flags were bent in half. Yep, easily missed.

Re: Ross Embleton on the defeat to Bolton Wanderers.
Every fan who watch’s games can see how we are setting up and playing and how ineffective it is. Just don’t work. Easy to defend against. I hear Morris at Crawley is bringing along his Daily Mirror to read. If our last few games are anything to go by he will have time to read it all. And not get his kit dirty.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Sat Jan 30, 2021 7:38 pm Didn’t realise how windy it was on the stream.

The bottom line is we are not are not good enough to be in the play offs. We have 2wingers who when they get the ball into the box there is never more than 1 person to attack it.Wilkinson is the only person with height to attack the ball yet you rarely see him in there.Rue was out of his depth today against Santos who had him in his pocket all day long. Jobi is struggling when the pitch is heavy and in the last few games has shown little. Our 2 fullbacks are poor and RE has been aware through the forum for over a year. If we can see it why can’t he.We rely too much on DJ and him being injured shows our attacking weakness. We were poor today against an average side that has been out of form . We have become a side that is easy to play against and a manager who does not have a Plan B when required.

Re: Ross Embleton on the defeat to Bolton Wanderers.
It's nowt to do with players, conditions, or any of the other stuff that Ross probably mentions in his interview.
It's the fact that we've come away from another game of football (regardless of whether we have won or lost) where we have been set up incorrectly. With the wrong players, playing the wrong formation and tactics that are mind-boggling. Set plays that are just plopped into the goalies hands every single bloody match. That's not even coaching, that's just a lack of organisation.
None of the players really know what they are meant to be doing. It's been coached out of them. Look at Kemp last week having had no coaching to how he was today with a weeks worth of coaching into our 'preferred setup'.
There hasn't been a moment to remember from this bunch for so long. Be honest with yourself about Orient in the last few weeks and what's the first thing that pops in your mind? Probably Ebou Adams booting us off the pitch? The ball that dropped over Ling's head? The amount of times Morecambe should've scored before we got lucky?

Re: Ross Embleton on the defeat to Bolton Wanderers.
It’s really quite easy to understand. In a nutshell he’s saying we look good when things are going well but struggle to grind out results when not playing wellDohnut (ALM) wrote: ↑Sat Jan 30, 2021 7:28 pm Going to listen to it again, didn’t understand any of it.
Fair enough if you don’t think he can solve those issues, but if you can’t understand it you’re either really dumb or wilfully not listening

I was distracted watching Kemp and how well he was playing.

Re: Ross Embleton on the defeat to Bolton Wanderers.
I was very surprised, nay shocked even, when he said that nobody from the league below us has come in for any of our players. I thought
these lower clubs would be banging the doors down wanting to snatch up Sam Ling, I mean he must be good because of the sheer fact that
he holds his place down week after week, ideal for the NL.

I’d imagine he was talking about the likes of Dayton, Turley, even Coulson.
Ling is here to stay imo.

The worry is that he has not even got a plan A let alone a plan B or C !

Re: Ross Embleton on the defeat to Bolton Wanderers.
I don't think our players are any better or worse than players in other teams. The way we play is just so damn slow. Earlier in the season we used hoof ball a lot, now it is is pass, pass , pass giving the opposition the chance to defend in depth. We get the ball wide to Conor but how often does it it get into a dangerous area. Shouldn't he be in the dangerous area. How often do full backs overlap, when they do does the ball get to them.
Every other team seems to have the ability to move the ball quickly and create chances (mostly not scored from). We just don't do that. Yes, we have lost our star striker but Ruel was showing promise, what have we done to him.
I think Brophy has to play upfield. Conor with Ruel in the middle, RHS, we have Dan Kemp, Freeman, Jobi, Centre Clay, Cisse, Hector, Jobi, so plenty to choose from
Defence almost picks itself but should Turley or Sweeney start
Crawley will be attacking hard so there should be space to exploit

Re Ross's interview, Dave Victor's questions don't take much reading between the lines. Perhaps Ross should say what we all know and feel, it just isn't good enough

Makes no odds to the O’s if National League carries on, suspended or voided, the club is not a charity case for Son Of DOF.He has to go even if we have to wait till his current contract runs out, could always send him to BOCO island to pass the time.tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 9:14 pmLaugh awayPoundhillO wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 8:48 pmChicken Dhansak wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 7:52 pm I was very surprised, nay shocked even, when he said that nobody from the league below us has come in for any of our players.
