What are the funniest things you've seen on the pitch at the O's

There have been so many over the years, but a couple of Coxy moments spring to mind.

One where he tried to face up to an opposition player after a tussle, only to find that when the player stood up he towered over him. Deano just laughed and walked away.

The most worthwhile yellow ever after he paced out the inadequate distance to the wall at a freekick in Tiny steps

Neville Southall backpeddling and falling on his arse, allowing our late winner against Torquay at the end of the 90s.

Loved both of them

Sure theres loads. Remember laughing in disbelief when a long ball over the top of our defence ended in a free kick to the opposition after Nathan Clarke randomly just caught the ball in mid air. Even he looked confused as to why.

Beelzebub, Seemingly booting Andy Hessenthaler up the backside, wasn’t funny at the time but looking back now amusing. Beelzebub looked well oiled. I was seriously worried what Andy would do next but he wiped his mouth and proved to be the bigger man.

Gordon Riddick scoring with his back against Blackburn 1970/71 season. About the only thing he ever did. Terrible player.

Alan White. Beats Paul Hague by a narrow margin.

Clayton Fortune was a very close second. He had the grace and skill of a drugged up rhino

Was it Hansen who scored with his arse circa 1996?

The funniest thing i saw was Paul Hyde hoofing the ball straight out from a goal kick the ball landed directly on a bloke who was carrying a load of drinks back and promptly through the over about 8 people.

Watched Orient lose 3-0 to Bournemouth back in the days when Dean Court had a bicycle shed stand on one side. An Orient player took a throw-in which he not only failed to get onto the playing surface, he also managed to threw the ball over the stand and out of the ground.

Hessenthaler had to be held back, he was furious and was shouting "you don't f***ing do that!" as he stormed off.

Yes I know , I was right in front , had to ask my mate if I saw what I saw! He was gobsmacked as well. Ultimately , he did the right thing and it did not escalate (as far as we know). Crazy times.

Remember a loanee from Watford getting sent off within a minute of coming on and punching someone when trying to get the ball out of the net.

Also, Chillingworth scoring possibly the flukiest equaliser of all time against Rushden and Diamonds. Kicked the ball sky high, keeper jumped as if it'd already gone out, somehow bounced in.

The guy running on the pitch. That was really funny, maybe because it was such an awful game.

Still picture it now. Don't think we signed him :)

Colin West's penalty v Colchester 1997. The last straw for many of his haters.

Funniest thing I have seen on the pitch is Sam Ling's guide runner role for the length of the pitch for Turgot's goal for Maidstone a couple of years ago.

Some bloke got so fed up with the crap on display, he ran onto the pitch and smashed one in the top corner.

If the decisions they made sometimes weren't so serious - over 50+ years - too many referees to name them all. But I'd call them clowns.
