Played 200+ "premier league" games for an average Spurs side. Possibly best described as committed but limited (at the highest levels in the English game).

Was at Spurs for a whole decade 90-00 so can't have been that bad. Played in a couple of good teams as well which reached and won cup finals including that 'gazza' final

As others have said, played top flight for long enough.

Done well to make a career at the top level with limited ability, always a good sign of someone’s character.

Could handle himself with a bit of thugishness if it was needed.

Personally didnt like him as a player , dont know why maybe just one of those players you loved or hated.

Top Bloke now of course.

Underrated imho. Tough man who did his job well enough to keep his place in a reasonable Spuds team. Had a bit of skill too and could read the game well. If only he'd connected with that punch he aimed at Robbie Savage he'd be folklore.....

Thought he was a decent Right Back to be fair.

From what I recall he had bottle and physical presence and not bags of skill but enough to be effective.

I take it you are referring to the league cup final? Savage has since said it’s the thing he regrets most in life in how he got JE sent off for nothing. He said looking back he was embarrassed with his behaviour that day and in my eyes despite being a nightmare player and always hamming it up it’s the only thing he regrets during his career.

You don’t get to be a regular in the top flight unless you have considerable ability. Edinburgh was a solid no nonsense defender.

He was tough. The type of player that would be sent off in 30 minutes now. Had some skills as well mind. He is what you would describe as horrible to play against. Niggly and a wind up merchant that would also kick you.

Had a lovely floppy curtain hairstyle in the early 90s.

Definitely a left back. Tough and solid. Won an FA cup and a League cup. Fell out of favour under Glenn Hoddle, who wanted to play with wing backs, something Justin wasn't.

Don't know how anyone can question his ability, he was a solid Premier League defender for over a decade.
