Dennis. 6. Nice touches but seems to freeze when close to goal
Dayton. 4.5. Injuries have got him.
Wilkinson. 5. Looked knackered.
Johnson. 5.5. Not a hold up man and spent most of the game chasing long punts. Needs a rest.

Subs. 5-6

Newport. 7.5 Had more starting 11 players missing than we did and still a really good side.
Ref. 7
Embleford. 5. Playing the same formation week in and out will get you found out.

Is there a joke behind calling the manager by the wrong name?

Agree with these ratings ,may be McAnuff worth a 6

In the end an easy win for the Welsh, rare bit of skill for the O's came from Hector MOTM

Utter Turd. In my book that’s a compliment on today’s performance. Shocking.

Kyprianou apart, plus bits from Jobi that was a poor a display as I’ve seen in a long time. And there has been a few down there.

How can Dayton even score a 4.

What a load of rubbish.

Clueless the lot of them.

But I’m sure Embleton will find some excuses. Though he will need to use his imagination.

Can’t be bothered. We were second best all game.

Hector did well, he’s about the only one.

Dayton was abysmal. Akinola has really gone down the pan these last two games, he didn’t stop one cross all game.

What makes me worry is that Embleton even thinks that Dayton can do a job in midfield. At best , in his prime, he was an ok right winger in league two. Now he is finishing his career after injuries, Embleton thinks he can be transform him into an industrious midfielder where he's proved four or five times now that he's non existent. It these type of decisions that will keep us where we are. I actually felt sorry for Dayton today put in this position.

Today's performance was on par with last seasons debacle against Maldon and Tiptree.

Daytons contract should be paid up after that.

To be fair we do OK against struggling teams but up against a decent mob we just don’t look up to much. I think we all know our limitations and it’s not just the players, who have the ability to be better than what was on display today.

Totally agree..I mentioned in an earlier post play a decent team and we lose..Simple! But at least we’re beating the teams around us.Which can’t be a bad thing

Kyprianou was the one bright spot for me today, he scored a good goal and looked assured, always looking to play a forward pass into feet. WTF was Dayton doing ?? Either play him wide or not at all, it’s almost like playing with 10.
Again DJ looked isolated and while he is our Fox in the box, his hold up play is poor.

The number of fixtures is unrelenting and some of our players like Wilkinson looked tired, maybe our league form will improve without the FA Cup , just my opinion of course.......and Vigouroux has made some great saves, so maybe we shouldn’t be too hard on him for today’s howler.

Going back to Hector......I thought he was great and with a bit more experience will offer far more than Wright.

Two games against teams that will be top 7 at the end of the season shows where we are at at the moment, an average mid-table side. Turley and Coulson are too slow to ever play alongside each other. Resting Happe was a big mistake as Abraham bossed Coulson all game. Dayton serves no purpose and, at best, Dennis is a late impact player.

Currently we aren't good enough to pin teams back consistently and end up leaving Johnson feeding off scraps. On the plus side Kiprianou looked assured beyond his years and should now be considered in a perm 3 from 4 with McAnuff, Cisse and Clay.

We'll pick up points in our next three games (Colchester, Harrogate and Bradford) but this shouldn't hide that a lot of work is needed to turn a decent squad into a side that wins consistently.

That don’t cut it for me. He has a mass of experience to call upon, Senda, Brill, Jobi, Harold. 2000 games between them. I don’t believe Embleton is the sort of guy not to listen to others.

I have no faith at all in RE and would not be surprised if Hector will once again be sent back to sit on the bench after todays match.
R-oss is not a good choice to be chief coach/manager, call it what you like, clueless as a tactician and hope that it wont be too long before the Os get a better person in to do the job.
