expectations next season

Post by greyhound »

would be very happy with top six. probably wont happen next season but you never no.
mid table probably has more chance, and is more realistic.
lets hope we are not in a dog fight in the bottom half of the table please god.COYOS.

23rd-24th = Fail
18th-22nd = Third class honors (3rd)
13th-18th = Lower Second Class Honors (2:2)
8th-12th = Upper Second Class Honors (2:1)
4th - 7th = First Class Honors (1st)
2nd-3rd = First Class Honors with Distinction (1st +)
1st = Double First Class Honors (1st ++)

I'd be disappointed if we didn't challenge the top 7. We managed 8th back in 2015-16 with a dreadful side and some madness behind the scenes.

Not sure.Depends on players we keep and bring in.I suppose mid table would be ok.Top 7 would be great.

I genuinely believe we are a second division team and club.
getting out of the third division is not going to be easy, hopefully though we could be back in division two in two or three seasons.
MAYBE YOU NEVER NO.

I'm all for optimism, but I'm not sure what this view that we will challenge for the play-offs is based on. I fear that we have got used to being at or around the top this season and just expect it to continue without any real evidence for why. We might be getting ahead of ourselves, the first season back in the League is great and we should look to consolidate - win lots of home games and be prepared to battle.

Optimism is good and I hope it lasts, but I think we should also be prepared for a struggle - after all this is Orient!

Almost a third of the division will end up in the playoffs or going up automatically. There is precedent for promoted teams making the playoffs (Lincoln and Tranmere) in recent seasons, and our previous showing in this league (2015-16) shows that a relatively poor team can make it to the cusp of the playoffs.

The points required for survival in lge 2 is well below this number.

Our flair players should flourish next season not getting kicked to pieces every game but equally L2 football will be a lot less forgiving quality-wise. Our midfield has to improve or we will get overrun and punished.

My sole expectation is not going back down again, that would be a nightmare scenario. Mid-table or above would be great.

My expectation is that we'll probably finish somewhere between 12th and 8th.

Play offs as a minimum. This group can do it as long as we can hang onto JE. And I don’t see too many players coming in during the close season.

Top 3 assuming Justin is backed properly (which I think he will be).

Happy with a mid table season. No concerns looking at the bottom. Nice, easy, stress free season will do nicely.

Equally, last season Macclesfield were promoted as champions and they were very nearly relegated.

The manager is the key reason, then the squad.

Top half - hopefully challenging for play off or possibly automatic promotion.

Expect there to be two or three basket case clubs to keep Os safe from drop.

I'd be happy with a 2:1, especially if we manage to flirt with the top end of the table as opposed to a late run away from the bottom.
