Just watched the you tube video and found Martins story very moving and admire his honesty. I have experienced a few dark periods and they are still there with me. Like a lot of people it is something that i bottle up but my emotions do service.
I wish Martin happy times for him and his family. A well put together production.

Well said, it takes courage to open up in this way and people will find strength and encouragement from it. Life isn't always about whether your son is the first team right back, let's hope some more people recognise that.AckneyAwks wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 4:53 pm Just watched the you tube video and found Martins story very moving and admire his honesty. Just wanted to say Ackney I hope you find more light than darkness sooner rather than later and wishing you health and happiness yourself.
P.S Absolutely agree. Martin Ling is a champion when it comes down to this sort of stuff, that's something we can all unanimously agree on.

Well said. I have no issue with anyone constructively criticising our DOF but I am frankly disgusted with SOME (so don't all get het up) of the posters on here.Omygawd wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 5:26 pmWell said, it takes courage to open up in this way and people will find strength and encouragement from it. Very honest interview. More and more people seem to be suffering, in this day and age.
Horrible illness. Wish him and everyone else, who suffers, well.

You can beat it, it takes time and effort, but it can be done. Hopefully anyone struggling can find the peace and solace they require to get well once more. Never give in, try to find a positive out of the negative and slowly but surely find a way out of the darkness and back to the light. Time is important to beat mental health issues, always believe in yourself and take the offers of help and support from friends and family.
Stay safe, stay well, stay positive and you will beat it.

As a 'sufferer', I dont think you can ever beat it. You can 'control' it by taking a number of different types of actions, but its like psoriasis, its always there but you can manage it, a psychiatrist once told me.Thor wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 10:02 pm You can beat it, it takes time and effort, but it can be done.
