Lasagne non meat

Post by Constanza »

Just made a Vegetable Lasagne, substituting red lentils for mince. It looks like a lasagne.
I have also been known to make a tuna fish lasagne, but was disappointing.
Anyone got any good lasagne stories?

Yeah, too many to count - but I’m not gonna tally-an-tell-thee.

You can make a good and quick lasagne using fresh ravioli.

Tried to make a veggie one using blitzed kidney beans. Do not try this at home, awful.

It looks OK actually. As I'm in Ireland I'm going to make some gaelic bread to go with it.

Been almost 10 months off meat.

Veg lasagne is a staple now it’s getting colder. Being totally lazy, I use tins of ratatouille as filling between gluten free pasta sheets.

Thought it’d be utter poo poo. Turned out to be quite satisfactory. Still not missing meat, 18lb lost in weight and cholesterol level down massively. Can’t recommend it enough.

We've found the trick to lasagne is to make it the day before, as on the day it falls apart when you cut it open, but next day, reheated it is amazing.

Still eating meat, lost 70lbs in weight (this year) & cholesterol down massively. Can't recommend carnivorous diet enough.

Blimey, 70lbs in 10 months, I'd go and see a doctor if I were you.

Why?

Healthy eating and lots of exercise is all I need. I don't need to lose anymore weight or lose it faster. Cycling 1000 miles a month between March and September burns up lots of calories

Let me guess, that's 2 hours of cycling a month.

I love a meat lasagne, but we've been having a home-made version with puy lentils instead recently, and it is delicious. In fact it's possibly the best lasagne I've ever had.

Agree, find this is true for any dish where meat is cooked in a sauce - spag bol, curry, chilli con carne etc
