Asked about the fairness of the situation, Spurs head coach, Jose Mourinho said (Football London): “I think they have to be very very upset. I think they have to. I have total sympathy for them.

“I don’t think they did anything wrong. They were tested. I think they deserve to play against us, no doubts about it.”

He's about as keen on the EFL as we are.

Goes up a notch in my opinion as a man. Still think he's a bit of a dinosaur in management terms but he has a record that demands respect and will get him a job for as long as he wants one.

Well done to the fella for saying what he did.

He knows how to work the system. Says all the right things when he knows it makes naff all difference. Being critical makes no sense. May just as well be seen as a nice guy. Clever.

Jose is a very decent bloke .

I always live, and still do, by a simple rule. I treat people with dignity and respect until at such times I get treated badly. When that happens I respond in kind, and with interest. I lived my business life being a good friend and a bad enemy. I realised I have a gift at being an a-hole when I want to be,

If I’m not nice on this forum, believe me it is in response to others. So be nice.

No one in business, even those to do me wrong, would refer to me as a 'bad enemy'. I'm proud of that myself.
