The funfair is setting up on the local rec.
Have to wear masks to the shops and pubs, can't see more than 5 friends at once, by hundreds can visit the fair. Bet their disinfection regime is top class tho.
Roll up, Roll up, all the fun of Corona.

Life must go on. You may be pleasantly surprised to find them wiping down rides etc after each use. If not, dont lick the poles on the carousel!

Recently our small town has hosted a circus and a fun fair. No idea how well attended either were, I certainly didn’t go. And I wish they took down all their advertising posters when they closed. Their litter legacy really annoys me. But they just leave it for others to clean up their mess.

Oh my god, you mean to say they stick posters up advertising the event and then don’t take them down afterwards? Despicable.

I think so. Leaving their mess for others to clean up. Maybe it’s me but I hate that sort of behaviour from anyone. No class.

What a churlish post. I suppose they are not pioneers of big business like yourself.

I'm with Dohnut on this - if they put the posters up, it's not asking the earth for them to take them down when they're done.
I'm amazed a lot of these fun fairs are still going. Round our way they often arrive way before the setup starts, and then when they leave the park looks like a ploughed field if it's been wet. I wouldn't miss em at all (that's churlish for you!)

I think it's quite right that we get worked up by the little things as well as the big things. For example, I feel a little annoyed that the casual use of the term window licker is deemed appropriate by our supposedly learned friend. I don't think I've ever given a second thought to an old fairground poster though or ever will again.
