The only good thing that came out of today’s result is Southend losing again. Can’t wait to see a friend who supports them. Will they survive the dreaded drop?

Southend Under 18's called off their game today as 3 of the players are showing signs of Covid symptoms - On twiter they pointedly note that their game last week was against us and we have senior players with Covid. Bit unneccessary given that Southend has had a large number of cases and as far as anyone is aware none for the young players are involved.

From a news article the other day "Southend has one of the lowest levels of infection in the East of England with an infection rate of 13.7 per 100,000"

Up to 21 now. Which is above the threshold where the government would revoke the safe travel corridor if it was another country.

Nowhere near the lowest levels in Essex let alone the East of England. Thurrock, Tendring, Uttlesford, Braintree, Chelmsford just to name a few have lower rates than Southend.
