Oh well, almost played them in a competitive match for the first time in nearly 20 years. Never mind, maybe some other time.

Out of interest, which London (league) club has the longest time since we played them now (ignoring the tinPot Trophy v B teams)? Chelsea?

I suppose I could check Soccerbase to see when we last played each London League club, but where’s the fun in that when you can just guess and speculate?

What about Palace? I don’t remember us playing them since the early 80’s.

We played Palace at home in a cup game around 10 years (?) ago. Lost 4-2, I think.

My guess would be West Ham or Chelsea.

I was at the Spurs cup game back in the day when they sneaked a 1-0 win against us and I was impressed by the level of vitriol the O's fans directed at Timothy Sherwood.

Also excluding friendlies?

Neilson Kaufman would no doubt know the answer if he is still alive.

Technically not as they are (just) over the border in Herts, but I tend to think of them as a London club - the opposite of Daggers, if you like. And like Chelsea, it’s been almost 40 years since we met competitively, so they might be the winner.

Someone took a great pic of that odious c**t pinching or gouging one of our players, possibly Wim?

I recall he stamped on Matty Joseph.
