Except you did make it up because our chairman said he did have a squad to play the game on Tuesday...

Re: Saturdays game off now
Its an away game. Probably more of a problem the training ground closed.
Actually think it will go ahead because of the sh*t laws. By the sounds of it, players who aren't positive don't have to isolate, even if they were close to the ones who did.
Hopefully Judd will get a runout.

I have not made anything up.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 12:21 pmExcept you did make it up because our chairman said he did have a squad to play the game on Tuesday...
The simple fact is Orient were unable to fulfill the fixture on Tuesday night. There is no way of avoiding this absolute fact
And if Orient had a team on tuesday night, why would there be a need to call Saturday's match off? Its a bit of a puzzler unless of course.....

You do realise the team available on Tuesday was not our first choice 11, don't you?

He’a not making it up though. If we had a squad available for Tuesday, we have one for Saturday. I’ve seen Orient train at Roding Valley school, the training geound argument is bollocks.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 12:21 pmExcept you did make it up because our chairman said he did have a squad to play the game on Tuesday...

And yet if somebody in your house or bubble has symptoms you must isolate for 14 days.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 12:23 pmIts an away game. Probably more of a problem the training ground closed.

Sure. I can just imagine how many schools & other institutions would be happy to welcome a covid ridden football team.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 12:59 pmHe’a not making it up though. Really? I thought they had a team fit and able to play against Spurs. Are they covid ridden or not?BoniO wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 1:23 pmSure. Re: Saturdays game off now
We (Orient) would have been happy to field a weakened team on Tuesday to secure the tv money but would rather not field a weakened team on Saturday when 3 points are at stake.

Re: Saturdays game off now?
Can anyone be bothered to look up the rules on being unable to field a team for league games? Points deduction usually isn't it?

1) You said we couldn't field a team. the chairman said we could - you were wrong and made it up. Fact. Post where it says we couldn't field a team.spen666 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 12:42 pmI have not made anything up.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 12:21 pmExcept you did make it up because our chairman said he did have a squad to play the game on Tuesday...

Re: Saturdays game off now
Team fit to play, or not, is irrelevant to my point though isn't it. There is covid in the club so what school is going to allow them to use their facilities?BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 1:43 pmReally? Re: Saturdays game off now
If there's covid in the club that prevents them from using a 3g pitch in a school field, then they don't have a squad to play Spurs. Unless they were willing to risk the health of the opposition for a bit of money of course.BoniO wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 2:06 pmTeam fit to play, or not, is irrelevant to my point though isn't it. Re: Saturdays game off now?
From the Saddlers
We can confirm that season ticket holders will receive their iFollow codes for Saturday’s scheduled match against Leyton Orient today.
Whilst there is an element of uncertainty around Saturday’s match after Orient’s Carabao Cup game against Tottenham Hotspur was called off in midweek, at present, we have had no correspondence of note from the EFL or Orient about this Saturday’s fixture.
We will communicate with supporters as soon as we receive any clarification.

I said Orient didn't field a team or have a venue so couldn't host the gameApple Wumble wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 2:03 pm1) You said we couldn't field a team. the chairman said we could - you were wrong and made it up. Quite clearly some people seem unable to see the simple fact that Orient were unable to host the fixture on Tuesday night. That is a fact. It is not a matter of blame, it is a simple factual issue- did Orient fulfill the fixture or not.
Rule 5 is not about blame, its a simple factual situation
