Fitness levels

Think this deserves a bit of recognition after the past few games, seems no small coincidence the players are mounting late fightbacks having had fitness drilled in right from pre-season this time round.

If you imagine a couple of our games last season the legs were gone after 70 minutes and once they were a goal or two down the game was done. Seems the penny has dropped and there's been much more focus on competing for the full 90 minutes, it's paying off so credit where it's due.

Was thinking this this morning.

We were conceding loads of late goals last season and as you say, it’s the opposite this year. Don’t think it’s a coincidence that we were one of the first clubs back in pre season.

Don’t think spurs had much of a pre season 😏

Yeah, can’t argue with that. It’s happening too often to be just a coincidence.

AP is correct, the early return is paying dividends and our fitness levels as I’ve mentioned on here before must be good as we were not conceding late and were in fact scoring late, something tired minds and legs don’t really do.

So agreed credit where credit is due.

So you are saying our Fitness coach left last year & our team seemed to run out
of steam in the 2019/20 & Now without him in 2020/21 season we are finishing games stronger ?

There's me just thinking pre season was interrupted by somene passing away ,
But you have shown me that our coaches this year have provided better fitness.this close season
Than the fitness of the team last season .

Cheers for that info , quite Enlightening
😁
