Don't worry. There'll be a raft of people along soon claiming that it's fine, clubs are always rescued at the last minute.
Wake up and smell the pina coladas - MTFC will be followed by others.

Sad to see, mismanagement there for sure, won't be the last I agree.
Always feel particularly sorry for the fans at such times,

Indeed, as always it's the fans who suffer because an owner runs a club into the ground and there isn't a club licensing system to prevent them.
Meanwhile the winding-up order against Southend United has been adjourned for a 4th time until 28 October, with nearly £0.5m still owed to HMRC. Meaning they'll still be under a transfer embargo until after the window closes.

Yet they have signed many players. What are they saying to these people to get them to join

Southend were shambolic on Saturday with a very young team, they are in trouble this season.

For some reason , the owners at Southend have a BIG PROBLEM
With paying out what is due to the tax man , a customer i used to
Deal with, & a wealthy enough man was a director there for years &
The guy who ran the club just couldnt face paying the Inland revenue .
He felt he was being robbed every time he made paymemt & yet
the fella has plenty enough money to weigh out on time.
There are some odd fellows involved in the game.

Macclesfield Town were never in the Northern League
The were in Cheshire County League, Then Northern Premier League, the Conference/ National League and EFL
Northern League is 2nd oldest in world. The NPL was only formed in 1969
Very sad day for football and in some respects a warning about issues of the Pyramid encouraging clubs to overstretch themselves. Macc were a big club in days before pyramid and getting into EFL overstretched their resources

Who? Macclesfield barely had any players left, and Southend are under a transfer embargo and are down about 8 players on last season's squad (they put out a team of mostly kids last Saturday).

Jesus Wept
I have made a few comments on one thread going back three months. Its hardly getting on a fecking horse. The club have contacted me a few times - but i'm now three days from the big kick off and don't have my season tickets
Is this really so difficult for you to grasp??
Also - I did reply to Mr Gilson and thanked him for his advice - as can be seen in the thread link that you provided

Of course I emailed Danny Macklin. Why in thundering Jesus would I have wanted to contact Andy Gilson??
I have today heard back again from Mr Macklin who has assured me that things will be dealt with, hopefully by tomorrow.
Let's hope so
Thanks

What happens to Macclesfield’s place in National League? Will a side get promoted or will there be a relegation reprieve or will they just have the league one club light? Given non-league hasn’t started yet, I guess a side could take their place from National League North

Unlikely for many reasons, not least the fact the League's AGM has taken place already & league constitution agreed.
If any side were promoted it would be Ebbsfleet as they are top on PPG.
Its far too late now for a switch. Imagine Ebbsfleet have signed players for NLS level and may well find many players couldn't get time off work etc to travel whole country instead of just South East

Tricky. Why not a NL South. Also an 11th hour reprieve for Macclesfield, unlikely, but possible. As are appeals etc.
Simplest way is not to disrupt NL fixtures that are probably already set, ignore the Macclesfield games throughout the Season and resolve at the end of the season with only 1 relegation and two promotions.

Why only 1 relegation?
There are usually 4 teams relegated from NL to NLN/NLS and 4 promoted. Why are you halving the number of sides going up from NLN/NLS?
Surely you relegate 3 and promote 4 to replace Macclesfield and relegate 2 less from NLN/NLS than had been planned to be relegated then at other levels, the Macclesfield/ Bury places are decided by reprieves on a PPG basis
