Bobby Davro and Jim Davidson leading the tributes, a sign of just how funny he was. RIP.
Roy Chubby Chubbins Brown has also just eulogised over his work.
Be good if Davidson was next to go. RIP in peace Freddie you clown.

Its a little curious that a lot of media outlets are saying "Freddie Starr reported dead" rather than "Freddie Starr is dead"
Its almost as if they don't trust Starr not to turn up alive having hoaxed them all

In the afterlife I'm sure he'll get a job at Pets at Home. RIP Freddie.

That's not very nice Max, wishing someone dead. Shame on you.

Shame we don't have the birth deaths and marriages thread anymore, could have gone on there.

I saw Freddie Starr at the Circus Tavern as part of my 18th birthday, my dad got a front row table and he was very funny. His humour would not be tolerated today, back then though he was hilarious.

There is a Births, Deaths and Marriages thread on here.
Can't remember thinking that anything he did was remotely funny and he didn't come across as a particularly pleasant person. But a lot of people seem to like him. Just as well we're not all the same I suppose

Yup. Some of us have a sense of humour. The guy was very talented, did some really clever stuff and was funny. Watch YouTube clips. Impossible not to laugh.

Didn’t even realise this was an award. How do you know about it?
