Gatherings of more than six people (at Orient)
I wonder how this recent announcement will affect people attending football matches in particular, homes games at Leyton Orient.
I cannot see how it can be adhered to , especially in the refreshment and toilets areas.
Are the Stewards going to be expected to ‘Police’ this?

Don’t worry covid is really clever. It knows that it’s ok go to go to school, work, on public transport, in supermarkets, in team sports. It can count and it knows when to infect. It’s so clever.

Re: Gatherings of more than six people
Bit of a odd comment Thor., I assume it was a joke. It’s about reducing risk as far as possible. School and work is essential. Meeting mates for a chat isn’t. That particular relaxation should never have happened. And £100 fines, not enough.

Who would've thought that young people going to the Greek islands spreading it about and then coming back to their own communities in the UK would've been a problem.....
I called this in May it was so obvious. In my opinion it has to be wilful on the part of the ruling party in this country, there is no other explanation.

I must have missed the announcement when the Government forced young people to go to Greece & get infected.kokomO wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 8:40 am Who would've thought that young people going to the Greek islands spreading it about and then coming back to their own communities in the UK would've been a problem.....

I cannot work out how ‘social distancing’ can be managed in the refreshment areas which are so poorly designed , part of toilet areas. Only way I can see it working is closing the refreshments and permitting just access to the bogs in the 15 minute break.

Re: Gatherings of more than six people
Yep it's life with all the fun sucked out of it.
Your allowed to sit on the train with a complete bunch of strangers who couldn't give a toss about your health, to get us into the town centres to spend as the government has turned us into a total service industry. Yet your not allowed to meet up with another family or friends outside socially as they'll be more than 6 of you.
People are going to be going f*ck that for a game of soldiers shortly.
The old bill can't keep up with crime as it is so they'll have trouble finding the resource to do this properly.

Re: Gatherings of more than six people
How are they going to stop groups of family and friends accidentally bumping in to each other at shopping centres?JimbO wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 9:25 am

Sorry you must have missed the bit about people being total selfish ****s and not giving a toss about authority or each other (there are constant reminders of this though)spen666 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 9:01 amI must have missed the announcement when the Government forced young people to go to Greece & get infected.kokomO wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 8:40 am Who would've thought that young people going to the Greek islands spreading it about and then coming back to their own communities in the UK would've been a problem.....

It’s quite simple that if the airports are closed to non freight transport and the planes are not going to Greece this summer that it wouldn’t have happened.
Hope I cleared that up for you

They’ve f*cked it, no one is going to take any notice of this.

I missed the bit about people being selfish etc because it was no where in the post I replied to.
The government have not made it mandatory for young people to go to Greece and catch Covid, so its complete nonsense to claim the government have done it wilfully.
People have to take responsibility their actions. Just because something is lawful, it doesn't make it compulsory or even a good idea.
