Listening to Ross, on the 'Unfiltered' videos, giving a team talk.......he just doesn't inspire.
He is not a leader of men

It was indeed just utter drivel, wasn't it.

He was clearly just whinging it; spouting the first tosh that came into his head without even thinking.

No passion; it was just a garbled message of nothingness.

There must be more than one player in our squad that was just sitting there thinking "you've never even played the game professionally mate; why should I even bother listening to you?

You think when the real stuff starts, he'll suddenly become an inspirational figure?

Is that the only quality in a manager?

With ''Ross as Boss'' we are just going to have to write this season off.
I could not play for this guy.

Who could you play for Sid?

What should Ross have said in his team talk instead?

You're right with your quote. That is why Danny Cowley (a PE teacher) has had such a terrible career so far.

Embleford has he dynamism of a tin of rice pudding
He will never amount to anything as a manager, even being assisted by our 27 first team coaches

Wonder if some of these people had that issue...

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/154 ... essionally

I still dont know if Ross can take us forward but he IS our head coach, and players should respect him because he has been coaching for many years and has attended all the relevant courses and achieved the required qualifications, if players are thinking that then maybe they SHOULDNT be playing professionally

This isnt pro ross - it simply stating that if theres genuinely any player who thinks he should listen because Ross hasnt played pro - then maybe they shouldnt be pros, hes the coach until the board say otherwise, so as a player you listen to the gaffer - if you do as he asks and results still go tits up then it should be on him and he can face the board, and rightly bloody so

I heared some comments made by the Grimsby boss last weekend and it wasn't exactly inspiring either.

He main job this season is to get more out of his players than he managed last season. If can`t do that there's no safety net.

As someone who has played the game at a very high level most team talks are not drum banging affairs. I've not listened to what he has said so can't comment on that aspect. However, you know your role in the team, you've done the set pieces, you know who your marking, you know what and how they will play. If by the time you sit in that dressing room and you don't know what's expected of you then you shouldn't be in there.

Team talks are kept brief, a quick going over of various items and things are kept simple. There is a time and place for passion and drum banging, but not everytime or the players will switch off.

As for he's not played so why should I listen, the players are behind him of that I could see last season. That doesn't detract from my belief in his failings, but as players you respect the man and the role cos if you don't you're out. Its only when it goes totally wrong do you start to question their ability.

Hope this helps.

So sad that the guys above cant support the club and management unconditionally. Its pre-season. We haven't even lost a league game yet but you guys are denigrating the head coach. Yes, you are entitled to your opinions but slagging off Embleton now is ridiculous. Wait till he has lost a few games, then go for it. Until then, you just show the rest of us that you are 'moaners'.

Haven’t lost a league game yet? A manager’s career stats don’t get wiped at the end of every season. Everything that people are saying now has been levelled for the past year. I feel sorry for the bloke, he’s clearly a good coach and is better suited as a number 2. It’s a shame he’s been thrown under the bus to protect Ling.

He is like a kid who got lost on his way to the preliminary stages of Call of Duty at the Cyber games. Completely harmless and I bet he is a nice fella but never in a million years a leader of men especially with no pro background.

No pro background apart from working his whole life in football.
