Williams F1 Sold for £136m

Post by Thor »

Frank has finally sold his racing team to an American private investment company. His was one of the most successful teams ever in F1 however, in recent times have been left behind by others.

Its a shame that the family have had to do this, but the costs involved these days are immense.

A few years ago I had the privilege of being shown around their base and it was truly an amazing experience. I didn't realise how light those cars actually are. I was able to move it with just 2 fingers! The museum was mind blowing with every car every raced (1 example of each) there. All the trophies won there, helmets, the evolution of the steering wheel as well.

Senna is and was my favourite driver ever and after that accident I think a part of Frank died as well. The team never recovered from that day and its more or less been downhill ever since.

I wish them well.
