Re: 20/21 Fixtures announced
I know. Some real tasty looking away days there but alas, probably won’t be able to attend.
Personally I have no interest attending 25% capacity stadiums (if that’s what the plan is), and I’m sure that away fans will be an outright no-no.
Just simply can’t get remotely excited about this coming season. Hopefully things will change but for now I’m considering the coming season a write off and hoping things are back to normal 21/22 season.
For the first time I can remember I’ll have a load of free Saturdays.

Re: 20/21 Fixtures announced
I know we wont be able to attend the early fixtures but what's the word on fans attending from October onward? I think I read somewhere it should be fine by then?

Re: 20/21 Fixtures announced
Still hoping to allow some fans, though whilst I wouldn't trust my source too much, could be between 150 and 1000. Oh and not allowed to sing, chant or raise voice in any way. Will kind of make it feel pointless being there anyway.

Re: 20/21 Fixtures announced
Agreed but as a new fan I feel I want to attend anyway, I've been looking forward to it a lot and if anything I get to see it at it's absolute worse with a view of seeing it at it's absolute best whenever we're allowed to!

Re: 20/21 Fixtures announced
Can't see away fans being an option for the whole of the season 20-21 sadly. HOPEFULLY by the start of the 21-22 season we will be back to some sort of normality (and we'll still be a league club)

Re: 20/21 Fixtures announced
Indeed, it's the away trips that bother me the most. Bolton & FGR being two absolute highlights, and I doubt either will be possible - my only hope was that at least one of them might come in April or May.
Southend being the first one that we can attend would be lively...

If they're only letting in 150 -1,000 fans, they you newcomers shouldn't get a look in.Paddy wrote: ↑Fri Aug 21, 2020 10:20 amAgreed but as a new fan I feel I want to attend anyway, I've been looking forward to it a lot and if anything I get to see it at it's absolute worse with a view of seeing it at it's absolute best whenever we're allowed to!

Re: 20/21 Fixtures announced
How are they going to decide the lucky 30% out of our season ticket holders. Will be on a rotation basis I would imagine , everyone (st holders that is) then at least gets to see 1 in 3 home games. Seems the fairest way to me.

Yes I am not holding my breath to be honest but if we're allowed in then perfect, i'll be following the team as much as I can in whatever capacity possible!RedO wrote: ↑Fri Aug 21, 2020 10:42 amIf they're only letting in 150 -1,000 fans, they you newcomers shouldn't get a look in.

At least some of the first away games are big trips where we wouldn't have had a lot of people travel any way.

Could this be the new "Oxford"?
Winning promotion, dancing on the pitch, the Shrimpers going down.

Shame for me re Boxing Day at Cambridge, usually attend that, but won't be able to get away from family stuff that day.
Oldham away first up - and I just read that Covid restrictions in Oldham likely to be tightened, defo one to avoid attending!

stopping them from reaching the play-offs

Wonder if the Oldham game might be postponed should Oldham go into full lockdown.EastDerehamO wrote: ↑Fri Aug 21, 2020 2:15 pm Shame for me re Boxing Day at Cambridge, usually attend that, but won't be able to get away from family stuff that day.

Re: 20/21 Fixtures announced
Am I missing something but the club announced that whilst fans cant attend games, season ticket holders will get an access code instead (and not a refund) but its £10 for non season ticket holders to watch the stream. Therefore, ST holders are paying more for a stream than non-ST holders?
