Tory MP accused of rape agrees not to attend Commons next month
Labour had called for the former minister to be suspended after his bail date was extended

We can have a real-life game of 'Where's Wally' !

So a whole constituency is effectively disenfranchised, despite their MP not being charged, let alone convicted of anything.
A suspension from work should only happen if the person's presence would hinder the investigation.
It's innocent until proven guilty, suspending people just because an accusation had been made turns this presumption on its head.

If somebody was accused of rape in the workplace, is it not reasonable they be suspended from that workplace until the investigation is complete?

Maybe the constituency should have been more selective in whom they chose to represent them in Parliament. If it's who we think it is, he's hardly the sharpest pencil in the box.
He is indeed innocent at the moment; any subsequent guilt will be proven by evidence, rather than accusation. This was proven most recently in the Alex Salmond case; when the politically-motivated mainstream media were basically trying to 'hang him out to dry'.
As an aside, I wonder how you felt about that case at the time; and whether Alex Salmond was being treated fairly?
Moreover, what's your view on the treatment of Julian Assange?
