2 years as well. Nice. Hope the lad is given just love. Everyone deserves the chance to check out other working options. Hope he absolutely smashes it and we never ever ever see him again in a couple of years as he flies up the leagues to greatness. Good news all round.

Hopefully he starts every week and we play to his strengths. It was frustrating seeing him shifted out wide. He obviously didn’t get the offers he thought he would.

For those congratulating Ling, it was his fault that we even got into this position with Ruel.

Two year contract is great news. We can play him a year then sell him for 2 million quid.

I wonder if one of the conditions for signing is that his release clause is set low so he can move on easily if he wants

People need to calm down there are no guarantees in life and with a little bit of luck everything works out well. We need to support Ruel and if he carries on his fine form then everythings positive all round.
Hopefully this is the begining of the club becoming more pro-active with our youngsters, if they show potential get them on pro contracts more quickly and youngsters are a cheaper option than the regular run of the mill everyday experience player doing the rounds. They also have the potential to bring financial rewards to the club plus enhancing our reputation within youth development.

I didn’t realise Ruel decided to go into his last season under contract behind Alabi in the pecking order and then get shipped out on loan to Dover

I’ve said it before. This should have been sorted out a long time ago. I’m happy he’s signed but to give ML credit for it is laughable
