Hello everyone,

After having always had a half eye on the club and their results I've recently started to feel more and more connected to it. Like when you fall in love but can't really describe how why and when it actually happened!

Long story short I am now a fan of the O's and I want to know everything. I've read about the history and the present but I want to know the nitty gritty - which pubs do people drink at before matches? What can be expected from us this season? I think I'm more romantically than realistically dreaming of a playoff-push

I think I've decided I will be sitting in the Justin Edinburgh Stand but happy to hear your thoughts on which stand to sit on and why etc etc you name it I want to know it! If anyone is up for a beer before the first game we're allowed to go to I promise to buy the first round. Extremely excited about following this club and I can't wait for the season to start!

Pubs before match - I used to go to the Coach & Horses (but don't drink as I now have a long drive home). The Supporters Club Bar (under the South Stand) is very good and a great place to chat.

When you are on this message board, it's best to be prepared for being called a sycophant if you mostly agree with the decisions the club makes. Similarly if you support Embleton and Ling. But from me - a big welcome and enjoy the ride.

The Supporters Club is of course in the West Stand, unless you meant the South Stand bar?

No idea what the new season will bring. Normal parameters have gone out the window thanks to Covid-19, some of our competitors could easily be worse affected financially than us. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.

Welcome! It's a really friendly club really and some people I've met at the Orient are some of my best pals. I wouldn't change a thing.

This board isn't massively representative! If you read just this you'd think we're the biggest doom mongers going! But it's a great laugh and hopefully you'll become a part of the furniture. Great to have you on board.

Completely agree! Whenever I catch myself over worrying about if Myles Judd is good enough to be a starter at League Two level I look at this and remember we got far too close to losing the most important thing.

BTW - all you have to do is spend 6 months on this board and watch 3 Orient games a season and you will be a know it all.

Many on here watch Orient less than 3 games a season but still complain about Ling / Embling /Macklin / Travis / Size of the Donuts etc etc
