I forgot Sitts called fans who sat behind him a bunch of cockraches .
Glad i wasnt in the Old Main stand .

One of my favourite Orient players. His partnership with Cockerill was one of the best we've had in the last 40 years.

Agreed. Trevor Putney was around at that time as well if I recall. All extremely good players.

Definetly styled his game on Gazza or maybe Gazza styled his game on Bogie!
Both grew up and played youth football for Newcastle.

Bogie was superb for us, albeit his performances may have faded towards the end of his stay. He had a way of running with the ball which made one think the opposition couldn't get it off him.
And the mention of Glenn Cockerill above brought back memories too - so many pros drop down from the top level towards the end of careers and ease off a bit - never the case with him, he battled for everything.

When toure joined us for training I was chatting with my mates about the top players that played with us at the end of their careers. Shilton, Wilkins, hodge, Martin, etc. You don't really get that these days
