Even worse than the umpiring has been Jos Buttlers performance so far!

Best wicketkeeper batsman in the country can't even get a game, Ben Foakes is a far better keeper than Buttler.

Got to agree with this, they should’ve stuck with foakes the last time they had him in the team. It’s a bit like jobs for the boys as far as the England cricket team goes (now where else have I seen that happening.... )

Fantastic indeed. Great recovery by England who looked out of it for so long.

But today Buttler made up for his previous mistakes when keeping wicket by putting on a brilliant display of attacking batting that helped along with Woakes, to gain an exciting and unexpected win for England.

But still got out playing the ridiculous reverse sweep shot. They only had to get ten more runs, with an hours play left, Crazy.

It’s easy to criticise the shot a batsman plays when getting out. By definition it can be criticised, he got out. So it was wrong. It’s probably fairer to look at the style of player they are and judge them accordingly. His style of play was a major factor in England getting a surprising win. Best judge him by the runs he got rather than the way he got out.

Would much rather giving Foukes time to settle in before the next Ashes. We can’t afford the leaden gloves of Butler over there.
