That’s if we were actually in for him. The fact still remains though we need another defender . I reckon we’re still too weak in defence

The reason for all this transfer activity is to beat the salary cap due after Wednesday. A loophole caused by the powers that be changing the date from last Wednesday meaning that if we dont get the players we want by that day we have to take a chance on lesser players or loans or make do with what we have

Doesn’t necessarily mean that we get ‘lesser players’ just players willing to accept salaries more in line with what the club is willing to pay. For me, the key signing is a centre forward and Sotiriou is holding that process up because he is being held up by Posh.

Also, I think we forget that a lot of these clubs are rebuilding thus have more money available. We, arguably already have a full squad with 22 players plus our only signing. Remember all the players that we offered contracts to resigned except 1 with 1 pending, maybe. It helps us with a settled squad but not with recruitment
