If some games are played without crowds and then some are when hopefully fans are allowed back.

Wouldn't it have been a lot fairer and easier to wait until October when supporters are allowed back in.

I remember this being an argument against finishing the Prem and champs because not all the games in that season would've been played under the same conditions.

This is excusable and understandable to finish a season but surely not to start one....??

Think that's a fair point. Only thing is I reckon a decision will be made either to suspend or go back to behind closed doors only anyway at some point due to changing conditions even if we waited til October to start.

True, that is a high possibility sadly and would've been a major consideration I suppose.

It'll be the same for all clubs so don't see how it could be unfair.

I see your point but not every team are going to play the same amount of home games without crowds than others are they?

Covid 19 has put us into an impossible position. Do you know what the future holds?

Or we play away at our rivals with no crowd and then they have to play at ours later in the season when supporters are allowed back.

Does it matter? I’m sure the players can do without the hearing the same 2 songs everyweek and abuse from Dave who sits by the corner flag telling them how sh*t they are

Depends on the team I guess. Arteta claimed that having no crowd helps Arsenal. Possibly every game is like an away game with the silence of their support, so it evens it up

This is how I see it. Broadly it’s the same for everyone. Ok, fixtures may mean a modest difference in games played but then again, some clubs get barely 2000 at home games so empty stadiums favour them over those of us who get decent support. Life ain’t fair.

Let’s get the season underway with no crowds, reduced crowds or whatever it takes

There's no perfect solution. Any decision on anything in football always results in some sets of fans screaming it's unfair. Suck it up.

without the cauldron of atmosphere and the roar of the crowd (especially the gallery) almost urging and sucking the ball into the onion net, the intimidation of the south stand, the screaming of the north stand, the miming from the west stand and the snoring from the east stand, away fans fear coming to the fortress

Does anyone know what happened to the rotund bald headed young man who used to sprint on at half time with a rake? He used to get a rapturous cheer and applause, so much so he fell over his rake once flat on his face.
