Presume that will start without fans in the ground then as government stadia restrictions go up to October!

Re: New Season...
Going to be an odd season. Premier League also starts on 12th September. Nations League games are taking place from 3rd - 8th September. So international games will be in the midst of pre-season.

I can’t see Mrs NES sitting in front of a 15 inch laptop screen to watch, she’ll probably wait until we can get back in Brizzie Road Stadium

Luxury seats? The best seats when Southend play are along the seafront.KC & sunshine band wrote: ↑Fri Jul 24, 2020 6:57 pm we dont want sarfend away - wait until we can go

Re: New Season...
Don't buy this argument that leagues 1 & 2 have to finish in may because of the euro champs in June. How many league 1 & 2 players will be involved in those exactly?
Just start the league when supporters are allowed back in October and finish in June.
But as usual the consideration of supporters are right down at the bottom of the list.

Re: New Season...
Would imagine Notts County will be the stronger of the 2. After watching yesterday’s games and the greater resources they will have.
As much as Harrogate is a lovely story and a great place to visit it would, in my opinion, feel right to have Notts back in the league. Proper old school football Club.
Apparently only Preston have played more league games than Notts throughout all English football clubs.

Re: New Season...
Premier league grounds won't have fans in before xmas.
It will obvioulsy be easier the lower down the food chain you go in football, as less capacity crowds.
The trials at the oval and egbaston currently have been capped at 10% of capacity.
So if it goes to plan I guess we'll have around a 1000 at our games hopefully in October but personally think that away supporters should be barred for the foreseeable future.

Re: New Season...
I didn't get one this season as I was planning on going to select games due to a change of circumstances. I was still very much looking forward to the games I could get to tho.
It looks like only season ticket holders might be able to attend next season and no away supporters. Going by the article I was reading on the beeb yesterday, where it said limited % of grounds only for the entire season, is most likely how it will play out. They were also saying that sports with chanting like football and rugby might have to have further reductions in crowd numbers because of the possible increased risk of transmission. (Insert joke here about crowds that don't sing)
Difficult times ahead for lower level football.

Re: New Season...
The EFL have been working towards attendances between 17 and 33% of capacity, If it's going to be the latter figure we would probably be able to accomodate our season ticket holders, but depends on how safely social distancing can be implemented.JimbO wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 10:10 am Premier league grounds won't have fans in before xmas.
