Great video. Highlights the role football clubs have on their community, how your local football team transcends the game to provide vital community services that underfunded local councils don't. This is what football is all about to me.

Re: Orient in the community
So very, very proud of the people behind the scenes of our Football Club.
As supporters, we all tend to focus upon the achievements and success on the pitch. Undoubtedly, for many people within the local community, it is the off-pitch hard work and accomplishments, that are equally important.
I just hope that we are able to sustain these levels of support. For many, it must be an absolute lifeline for their future happiness.

I have to admit that this was largely news to me, I’d previously had no more than a vague awareness of the community side, so was really good to watch and learn.
Credit to all those involved.

Re: Orient in the community
Why doesn’t big business help the smaller clubs with funding to cover such initiatives? It’s not like they couldn’t afford to make such a gesture from their hundreds of millions in profits or even billions. That way football clubs could make an even bigger difference in the community for the overall benefit of all people.
