Southend apparently are in pole position to sign Ruel with 2 other league 2 clubs after him as well, and also another 2 in league one.

Disappointing if he's seriously turning down a contract here to join a well known basket case of a club which has it's own regular hearing at the Royal Courts of Justice staving off winding up orders.

I agree. I could understand it if he moved up to a League One club but going to another League Two club would be hard to take.

Southend currently have a ‘Transfer Embargo’ and have yet another winding up hearing being heard tomorrow. I find it hard to believe that he would go there, as they are also without a manager.
