That would be an outrageously good signing. I would be so, so all over that.

He hasn`t played a lot of football the last three years. 15 games I think.

Career has faded after his second season at Swindon where he was very good with goals and assists, been at some decent clubs since in the Championship and League One but hasnt played overly much total of 119 appearances and 16 goals spread over 9 seasons, If he can stay fit he might an asset in League Two but his record of not playing many games might make him an expensive signing. Hope we swerve this one.
Apart from that we are fully stocked in midfield surely, Think we need a centre half and a forward both with a bit of pace

Tbh I’m sure the club will be exploring the possibility of recruiting with a number of players. Given the number of free agents out there such things will be going on everywhere. The scramble for the better quality players at the right price.
The chat over a coffee don’t mean too much.

According to a couple of articles linked to that link, Ben has had a long term knee injury.

Probably as bollocks as the Wordsworth rumour. He’s a bit younger and a bit better than Wordsworth, but his knee injuries would have seen him retire in a bygone age. No idea if he can return to his previous performance levels. Massive risk IMHO and would hate to see us hand out a long-term deal. Can see it happening because of the Swindon connection, though.
