What we need is to be seen to be a progressive clubPoundhillO wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 4:37 pm Unbelievable, we need money spent on quality players not wasted on another assistant !!!
To be fair, he has played over 400 games at our level and above for Wycombe and Millwall mostly. And was a very tasty player. This was fairly recently too so if you don't know him that's more maybe on you and your lower league knowledge than anything. Don't mean that disrespectfully but he has been a feature at our level for nearly 20 years.
I'm all for diversity, but you think we will get sponsorship deals for 6 figures because we've hired a BAME assistant?tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 4:44 pmWhat we need is to be seen to be a progressive clubPoundhillO wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 4:37 pm Unbelievable, we need money spent on quality players not wasted on another assistant !!!
who show we have equal opportunities.
With.the owners/chairmen looking for more & more
Sponsorship deals & investment it shows good sense
to have a diverse employment throughout the club.
Plenty of major buisnesses want to attach themselves in any way
they can to sponsorship advertising as they can.
If we can get two 6 figure deals into the club by this it will pay for itself.
Build sound footings then the house is strong forever.
Dont build them & you are likely to collapse quickly.

With every passing week I get more and more bemused at the decisions our board make. I mean, it's an assistant, it's not the end of the world. But it's another sign to add to the others that there's something very off.
Wish Danny well though, it's not his fault.
It's not negative, it's realistic. He's an inexperienced coach. Like Brill and Jobi. Behind an inexperienced manager. Excuse me for not thinking it's the right decision.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 4:52 pmApple Wumble wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 4:29 pm Another bizarre appointment. How shocking that you have reacted negatively to this.
Nothing to suggest the club are 'struggling for wages'.
It will make it a lot easier.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 4:48 pmI'm all for diversity, but you think we will get sponsorship deals for 6 figures because we've hired a BAME assistant?tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 4:44 pmWhat we need is to be seen to be a progressive clubPoundhillO wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 4:37 pm Unbelievable, we need money spent on quality players not wasted on another assistant !!!

Sure I would.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 4:59 pm He's been coaching since 2013. If they'd appointed somebody with more experience you'd be moaning that they were an old failure or some such.
You are welcome to give us your opinion and I am free to challenge it.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 5:00 pmSure I would.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 4:59 pm He's been coaching since 2013. Noted that any appointments going forward I'll hold my opinions on an orient message board. Wouldn't want too much discussion eh?
it's sad seeing some pretty bizarre decisions being made at my club. Let's let them get on with it though, dont want to hold them to account too much. it's only our club, after all.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 5:02 pmYou are welcome to give us your opinion and I am free to challenge it.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 5:00 pmSure I would.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 4:59 pm He's been coaching since 2013. You just appear so sad. Who hurt you?
True. Every experienced coach was inexperienced when first appointed. The Big Shot wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 4:56 pm I'm all for people judging player signings and saying whether or not a player is good or not - Everyone's opinion will be different.
But surely when it comes to the coaching team, the proof and judgment should be made on the first teams results first? This goes for whether they have experience or not?
Time will tell us whether or not this appointment will be a success or not.
Sometimes though maybe there almost IS too much discussion. I don't remember Paul Clark coming in during the 90's and people thinking 'cor, not for me' for example. Sometimes unless we sign obviously great signings it'll automatically be negative rather than neutral fairly often. If we signed a 19 year old released by Brentford as a centre midfielder tomorrow people would go nutty, but they might actually be perfect for us. It's almost like in the age of hyper-information it always airs on the side of negative.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 5:00 pmSure I would.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 4:59 pm He's been coaching since 2013.
