And get Sol Campbell in as manager/head coach before he is snapped up elsewhere.
If they intend to go for promotion next season that is. otherwise another season of
struggle awaits (without the excuses of last season).

Nice to see that you can still have a different opinion on here and not be ridiculed.
Did an amazing job at Macclesfield keeping them up when they were miles behind. Totally bossed Ross at the Macc away game last season. A born winner, Multiple England caps at world cups. Would demand respect and have lots of links to various connections in the game. As I say, would be a sign of real intent if we put him in charge.

Why did you not mention his spell at Southend?
7/10 for this though, had me going on it.

There's also the fact loads of the fans are actually Spurs fans and would stop coming

Another impossible job at sarfend.
Even Klopp wouldn’t have been able to keep them up,

I think he I'd going to struggle to find a new job, he is hardly getting rave reviews from people who have worked with him.

This.
However, I'd like to see how he performs at a "stable club" before making a judgement. However, regardless of that the words he uses and how he communicates with others seems to be an issue at both clubs. I hope he can be a success.

Plenty of intent being shown by the Board for keeping this club alive during difficult times. How real do people want the club to get.
Personally I’ll be happy with a decent season in L2 without any panics about going down. Mid table is great, playoffs a bonus.
But let’s just survive, give Ross a season to prove his worth then when normality returns either Ross will have done OK or changes can be discussed.
But please, let’s get real.

So in saying that you’re saying that we’re not able to go in for managers of the Calibre and international experience of Sol Campbell and therefore because of that Macclesfield & Southend are ‘bigger’ clubs than us? ??????
Right ok

Exactly right. There are so many changes and variables right now, who can tell what is going to happen. What with the overall financial situation, imminent wage capping and squad capping, many players out of contract, no fans/some fans and more. I am looking forward to the season after next when it all settles down hopefully.

In fairness I think that Martin Ling pretty much said something very much along these lines when last season’s managerial omnishambles was underway!

I would love a high calibre manager to replace Ross. But now is just not the time. For obvious reasons. In the current climate, for many clubs, including ours, the focus is survival. Money is scarce and nobody knows if next season, whenever it starts, will be played in empty stadiums. So reduced revenue.
To be spending big money on things we don’t know we even need yet is plain madness.
