We had so many good young prospects a few seasons ago. None of them seem to be fulfilling their potential, Koroma included.

3 league starts, a handful of sub appearances and 0 goals.

Still, his bank balance will have improved, even if he hasn’t as a player.

Alzate is doing very well for himself at Brighton.

Not as good as he thought he was and joined a club who couldn't take a chance on playing him in a relegation battle. He'll be a league 1/championship player.

Koroma was always known to be the most talented, but there were question marks over his attitude - which is why less talented players (eg Dalby, Abrahams) were snapped up when we went down, but he wasn't. You'll remember he continued to be indifferent under Davis, but almost immediately responded to Edinburgh's arrival, starting with the sensational winner at Bognor.

But it could be that he only responds well to particularly gifted man managers, or those smart enough to figure out how to get the best out of him. For this reason, I always feared he may never realise his full potential (there were plenty at Orient who thought the same until JE arrived)

True. The Cowleys really like him as a player but he's not the finished article. If he sticks with them they will make him a really good player.

Think he is the sort of player that needs an arm around him. The Cowleys are good guys & will get the best out of JK

Latest on Sam Dalby: is he going to make a break-through season??

On 28 July 2019, Dalby scored a hat-trick whilst playing for Watford U23's against a RB Leipzig U19 side in a friendly match.[20] He was also selected in the matchday squad for Watford's EFL Cup fourth round defeat to Everton on 29 October 2019, but ultimately remained an unused substitute.

Style of play
Dalby's style of play has been likened[by whom?] to English Striker Harry Kane, due to his stature, finishing and hold up play. He was described as a special talent, with former Orient teammate James Dayton describing him 'He's left-footed, has a lovely touch and he's very aware of space. He is very natural at taking the ball into space and away from pressure'.[21]

it is about now we can expect the "I don't care, they are not Orient players anymore" brigade.

For me, they will always carry a bit of Orient with them, especially if they developed through the ranks here....

Didn't even realise he'd been sold on to Watford.

That sell-on clause was worthwhile.

As Koroma ended the season at Rotherham in League One, is he now eligible to play for Huddersfield in the extended season Championship?

Obvs if selected.

I am a firm believer in youth developement and have always believed the club should continue with this policy at the club. Times have changed and now smaller clubs are being stripped of talent before some youngsters even reach youth team level. What i would say is that we do seem to be rather slow in offering contracts or improved terms to youngsters who show massive potential when involved with the first team squad. The most recent being Sortiriou (spelling?) and possibly Ogie. We also have always been a soft touch regards transfer fees and sell on clauses.
I would encourage more people to watch the youth team because there is nothing better than seeing a young 15/16 year old boy progress to the first team and you know all about him before other fans.
My example would always be Chris Bart-Williams who played in the old South East counties league against the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, W.H.U and many more top clubs. He would regularly tear apart bigger named players at these clubs and when he made the first team we already knew what a special talent he was.

Saw that. Leading the line.

Will keep a close eye on him and hope he does well. If only because a few boarders have written his career off already.

Can’t blame for probably doubling his money and playing at a higher level, I wish him well.
Not sure if we may benefit from a sell-on clause in the future.........Better informed boarders may know .
