You like and 3 you hate. Following on from Liverpool the league who do you like or hate.

Hate.
Liverpool. The only people I have met who truly believe you should get something for nothing. Would steal from their Granny. The famous scouse sense of humour is that they don’t have one. Vile human beings.
West Ham. Anyone born on the central line between Bethnal Green and Epping needs to have a serious word with themselves if they chose West Ham over Orient.
Spurs. The most deluded set of supporters I have ever met. Wanting Poch sacked when they lost the CL final sums them up.
Honourable mention. Leeds. Gods own country? Every time I have been there it stinks of Whippet.

Like.
Wrexham. The first to come on here when Justin passed away we seem to have an infinity with them and them with us. Perhaps it’s because we are both crap. The good people of Liverpool must have moved there.
Millwall. No one likes then they don’t care. Working class football club is alive and well.
Wimbledon. Crazy gang and all that. Liked them since.

Enjoyable post. For some unknown reason, I have always had a soft spot for teams that play in traditional vertical stripes. This may be because over the years they have not been overly-successful... I do not like teams that play in yellow or green. (I must be on the spectrum...)

West Ham - Their fans think they are a big club. Cute. Biggest stadium in the championship next year hopefully.
Millwall - Full of scummy racists.
Man U - Funny how they have a load of fans in their late 20s, early 30s from London. Same will be for Liverpool in 20 years. The luckiest team on earth.

Like
Liverpool - used to hate them in the 90s and 00s but love Klopp as a person and a personality and their style of football is unreal.
Arsenal - I have to, the missus supports them. Feel sorry for her/them atm.
Sheff U - Proper team, proper ground. Used to love going to see us play up there. Wilder has done fantastically.

Likes - Villarreal, Charlton (used to go see them play a lot in the early/mid and late 90s) and Oldham from that run of theirs in the late 80s/early 90s (and my Latin teacher was an Oldham fan so used to hear a lot about them).

Dislike - none really

Hate (or rather, dislike/take pleasure in their misfortune)
1. Man Utd - Goes back to the days of van Nistelrooy v Keown. Also, back in those days there was a sense of arrogance and entitlement emanating from their supporters. Probably for good reason.
2. Swindon - The town is a bit of a sh*t hole, and everyone there always seems so miserable.
3. Millwall - I'm not saying that all of the fans are compete fannies, but they just do seem to have a lot of them.

Like
1. Arsenal - Used to go to Highbury quite a lot. Shame they had to move to the Emirates.
2. Bristol Rovers - I just like the quirkiness of the Memorial Ground.
3. Brentford - The West London version of us. And with great pubs. Accessibly by Sunshine Boat too.

I don't hate any team - dislike maybe.

Teams disliked:
Spurs - because of their forever whinging fans.
Chesterfield - some real scum supporters.
West Ham - for far too many reasons to mention!

Teams liked:
Liverpool - admire the displays of Scouse Socialism; from fans and players. My best mate is also a Scouser and a great guy.
Nuneaton Borough - crap ground, poor team and often play pretty dire football. I think they're twinned with us.
From an internarional perspective - Argentina. Again, I suppose because I have a few friends from when I've worked there over the years. Until recently, they were also pretty impressive on the World stage.

Your hatred for Man Utd goes back to the days when their star striker was bullied by Arsenal players at the end of a game?

The Rangers International Football Club obviously, as they surely have the most obnoxious fans on Earth. Can't say I really hate any other club. On my trips to E10, I generally have a chat in the pub at some point with some away fans, and generally find them to be a nice enough bunch. The only exception were Southampton fans when they were in League 1 who were pretty unlikable.

In the olden days of the 70's I used to like just about every English First Division side. Compared to the Scottish game it all seemed quite glamorous, with unique stadiums, some great strips, big crowds and of course virtually all players were British and I knew who they were and where they came from. Nowadays I have absolutely no interest in the Premier League. All stadiums look pretty much the same, horrendous kit and massive squads of foreign players who cost billions and who I know nothing and care nothing about. Having said that, the Scouse accent is so awful that I don't like Liverpool winning anything if it means that I have to hear it more than normal

Don't feel anything for Liverpool but will always remember how they were promoted to Div 1 in 1962 - with us. They've never been relegated - what different stories of our 2 clubs!
Sunderland - always look out for their scores etc after going to Roker Park in 1958 to see the FA Amateur Cup semi between Crook Town and Ilford. Ilford won.
Look out for Rangers as my grandfather came from Glasgow. Also Cowdenbeath, although I have absolutely no idea or reason why.
Look out for anyone playing Wet Sham

  • Peterborough United – my son supports them so I’ve adopted them too
  • Barrow – my long-standing second team, delighted they’re back.
  • Accrington Stanley – their history appeals.
Dislike
  • MK Dons – all down to their move from Wimbledon.
  • Salford City – too rich too quick.
  • Crawley Town – bit of a bogey team, not a Steve Evans lover who brought them into the league, guess that’s never worn off.
With one of my best mates a Villa fan and living up in Norfolk knowing lots of Norwich fans, Birmingham and Ipswich wouldn’t be far behind!
