We were joined on the pod this week by James Alabi. The former O's striker opened up on a host of topics including his reaction to being transfer listed last summer, his dealings with Carl Fletcher and that goal against Grimsby.

Are you serious?
I wonder why no questions were sought from us.
Can you imagine?
Maybe because the interviewer likes talking himself so much and therefore doesn't have time for anyone's questions.

Watched snippets. Seems like a lovely bloke and interesting to hear his side.
Unfortunately, it comes across like he thinks more of himself than his ability shows. I get that, you have to believe in yourself. But he thinks that because he scored against Harlow he should have been taken off of the transfer list. It was weakness that he was taken off. He wasn't backing down and so Ling and Ross did meaning we wasted a wage for a whole season. Same about the Grimsby goal. Great goal, but the fact he thought Fletcher should have kept him around because of that is ridiculous. More I hear about Fletcher, the more i think he was given a bum deal.
Wish Alabi well, and he's actually still quiet young but will go down as one of our worst strikers of all time unfortunately (and we paid a fee!)

Decent bloke. Not so decent footballer.
Really doubt heβll make it in the Football League (although hope he proves me wrong).
A career in non-league beckons.

Agree 100%. Thanks for the laughs James and good luck with your career outside of football.

I had a chat to him before a game in the LL and he came across as a nice guy with time for the fans, I wish him well.
