Macdonalds.
The links between obesity and deaths from Covid-19, never mind a myriad of other diseases, are becoming more apparent by the day but these twats cannot wait to drive to their nearest McDonald’s, sit in their cars for 2 hours and then stuff their faces with high cholesterol fatty sh1t. It’s unbelievable really.I read somewhere that the U.K. is the most if not one of the most obese nations in the western world, we should be f ing ashamed of ourselves.

I would honestly rather go hungry than eat the filth McDonalds (along with KFC, etc.) serve up.
The bone-idle even get this delivered by Uber Taxi I believe? The absolute epitome of laziness.

Re: Macdonalds.
You only have to look at what goes on at McDonalds in Walthamstow to realise how lazy people have become. You have Uber Eats push bikes with big boxes on the back plus Deliveroo and Just Eat. The motor bikes are all parked opposite and the drivers wait inside McDonalds for their next job.NuneatonO's wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 12:54 pm I would honestly rather go hungry than eat the filth McDonalds (along with KFC, etc.) serve up.

Once in a blue moon I'm tempted to grab a bacon double cheeseburger or something, but I always regret it straight after. However, if people want to gorge themselves to death on this stuff, what's it got to do with an aged anarcho-libertarian? What's the alternative?

Meanwhile the toffs gorge themselves on cream cakes at afternoon tea at the Savoy or Fortnum & Masons. See ya there! Up the ruling classes. At least McDonalds keep the riff-raff away from the finer eating establishments. We all have our pecadillos.

After 2 months in lockdown, people want new things. Whether it's McDonalds, Ikea or Nandos. If you don't like the food, don't eat there.

Re: Macdonalds.
The one on the TWells industrial estate (that’s a retail park really, these days) re-opening on Monday caused gridlock on the approach roads from all directions. I don’t give a toss if a bunch of silly twats get overexcited and want to queue for ages in order to get a pretty boring nugget or a second rate burger, but I was piqued that I and the other Waitrose chattering classes couldn’t breeze into the adjacent M&S Foodie Hall because of these dullards

Could you not get an uber/deliveroo pleb to fetch your food and champers for you? Re: Macdonalds.
I’m outside the one in Waltham Abbey now and the traffic is in chaos with cars in a massive queue, some actually waiting to enter McDonalds but many probably not.
There are some kids in McDonalds high vis jackets trying to direct the cars but it’s chaos really.

Re: Macdonalds.
McDonalds is the food of the devil.
Today I drove past a retail park which is full of big shops etc. All shut due to covid, except McDonald’s which has opened its drive through. I am not joking the whole car park which can hold hundreds is literally one big snake of cars waiting to get to the window to order food. The queue goes all around the car park and out to the main road which takes out one of the two lanes. Then there is one man in a hi-vi jacket trying to keep order.
This is just pure madness. Just looking at the queue I’d say you’ve got about an hour to wait to be served. Why? It’s just a burger.

Re: Macdonalds.
It's a meeting place for young adults with cars. They buy the nice nutritious food and then hang about in their stupid little Corsas with giant exhausts talking crap to each other about video games and the like.Thor wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 4:58 pm McDonalds is the food of the devil.

Re: Macdonalds.
True that max. In this particular place they did exactly that until he police got an order to stop them meeting and closed up the place except for entry to McDonald’s.
Still I guess it’s no different to driving up and down Southend sea front showing off your car, sound system back in the day before they stopped that as well!

Re: Macdonalds.
Unfortunately, it's today's brainwashed, automaton, mentality.
No spare time whatsoever to prepare decent food and cook at home (probably can just about manage to understand how to put a microwave on) - but time to sit in a queue for hours, contributing towards road/travel chaos; whilst adding selfies to Facebook.
Then off home to take a few new pouting selfies for Instagram; or make some ridiculously unfunny TikTok video clip.
Then watch utter cr@p such as Ant&Dec, GoggleBox, or some similar Z-list 'Celeb' reality show sh!te.
FFS..........take me back to the 70's or early 80's.

Where is the entertainment value watching talentless people, watch TV programmes; obviously 'playing to the cameras'; whilst making pointless comments, inane drivel - or, even more cringeworthy, trying to be funny?
I've watched it twice (with 'she who must be obeyed') a couple of years ago. At the end, we just looked at each other in despair - totally confused at what others at our workplaces saw in it.
Utter dross.........of the highest calibre; that must only appeal to people who are very easily pleased (and that's being polite).

I'm sure you are aware, but it has been said that the dumbing down of TV etc. Is a deliberate ploy against society.NuneatonO's wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 5:55 pmI truly can't see the point of the programme.slacker wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 5:25 pmYou don't like GoggleBox? Re: Macdonalds.
Yes I can vouch for that, dropped my lady friend off at Waltham Cross last night then took the road to Waltham Abbey and wondered what was causing the massive hold up, managed eventually to get into the left lane and at last got through the traffic lights opposite the McDonalds and upon seeing the massive queue waiting for their takeaway food, realised what had caused the big hold up. I read somewhere on the BBC news about a guy pitching an overnight tent near his local McDonalds so as to make sure he was going to be the first in the queue the next morning, also on the same news report, talk of drivers waiting in a queue for THREE hours at one place to get their takeaway McDonalds !Cheshunto wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 4:30 pm I’m outside the one in Waltham Abbey now and the traffic is in chaos with cars in a massive queue, some actually waiting to enter McDonalds but many probably not.

Sid the guy with the tent had his kids toy car with him!! I've seen another guy with a cardboard car around him so he can be in the queue!!
