Rulz are:
There will be a random “torn paper with names on” draw for the heats
The fastest 4 from each heat and the 4 fastest losers from both heats overall will make the Semi Finals.
I will throw 4 dice simultaneously for each competitor in turn, your combined score will move you forward by an equivalent number of metres each time. The dice will be thrown virtually via an online facility.
The first 4 in each heat over the line automatically move into the next Semi Finals except in the qualifying round where the 4 fastest losers will also qualify.
For your first throw on the start line a throw of two or more 3’s will count as a false start and the competitor will miss a turn before proceeding.
Once each competitor has crossed the line there will be a final throw of two dice for each one. A double 6 will immediately identify them as a Drugs Cheat and they will be summarily expelled from the competition (the 100 metres was, amazingly, clean).
In other words same as the 100 metres but with me throwing more virtual dice.
Draw to follow when I have the time/can be arsed. That is all. Still trying to arrange the customary 69 for the day.......

Re: Boarding Olympics 200 Metres. Likely Date and Call for Entries
Count me in please.
Many years ago i was representing the school at 1500m at Drapers Field. I won my race and leaving the ground to walk to the bus stop I turned my ankle on the kerb and tore my ligaments. I could not believe it, out for ages.
Hopefully I will have a better race in this 200m than I did in the 100m and don't turn my ankle leaving the ground once more!

Re: Boarding Olympics 200 Metres. Likely Date and Call for Entries
in. Did 200m in what i remember as being 21.8secs when i was 14/15 at Hornchurch track. But realistically it must have been 22 or 23.8, right? I always started slowly but built up speed over the last 100m so was mainly last with 80m to go and would pass everyone in the final stretch.

I'm completely out of shape, so should fit in with most of the entrants

I'm in.Omygawd wrote: ↑Sun May 31, 2020 3:31 pm Not been able to get to this recently, my apologies. Got to work for the next 2 weeks so won't be before week beginning 15th June. However that gives all prospective entrants plenty of time to hone their physique and get into pristine shape.
In preparation please indicate your intended participation, I have about faced on guaranteeing 100 metres entrants a place as I'm scared of Admin who will doubtless menacingly demand a place (love it) . Tuffers automatically gains entry and has the enviable chance of being a double sprint champion. 24 entrants maximum. I'm "injured" both having attended Salazar's camp last year and and failed my dope test (been one of those for years anyway) so 23 other places up for grabs.
Venue will again be the Drapers Field. No Scots flouncing off before this event takes place Max.
They used to call me the Alan Wells of Johnstone years ago. I think a lung bursting 200m is beyond me. My favoured event these days is the 5,000 Litres.

I'm jumping at the chance.
Not since Michelle Smiths triumphs in the pool has there been this much excitement in Ireland over Olympic prospects

Currently training at altitude in Bolivia. Assuming I adopt the Cummings approach to self-isolating when I return to UK I should be good to participate.
