Be interesting to see who buckles first because he’s their biggest and most well known. And it’s his best communication method.

Does make me laugh though, considering how he apparently hates ‘fake news’ and calls out journos at news conferences for being fake is so against fact checking functionality.

Funny how he’s failing with corona, theres a city on fire but he has time to rush through a change to social media laws.

Seems like all the social media companies have a problem with policing content. They don't want to do it as it would cost them big time and AI is not up to it. These companies employ a handful of moderators and loads of them have to pack it in as they get PTSD.

Bots and politics is just one of many things that need policing on these platforms. Social media is full of stuff like porn, violence and child abuse.

Policing social media must be a nightmare, and I include forums like this. Not something I would want to do.

But international forums like twitter need to distance themselves from political opinion and the actions by Twitter on the Trump posts are, in my opinion, not moderation but political. Trump is justified in his reaction. It’s not for them to censor Trump, but others who may respond with agreement or otherwise. By doing what they did they have entered the political arena, somewhere Trump remains supreme. Not a smart move.

Twitter and other Social media platforms need to remain impartial in their moderation. A tough ask
