If Cummings resigns there would need to be a general election. After all, who would run the country if he goes?

Shower of scumbags, and yes, Biden needs to get his sh*t together and get a top class VP running mate. Anything will be better than the clowns that are currently in charge both sides of the pond.

I think the premise that the right is collapsing is nonsense...its probably stronger than its ever been since the late 1930's.
Trump will win in America again, Bolsanaro is in firm control in Brazil, you have Modi in India, whose even more right wing, ruling with a rod of iron, and the ultimate right wing zealot, Netanyahu in Israel, who's been indicted on charges of fraud and corruption for years, and yet still remains in power.
Right wing groups all over the world seem to be prospering, particularly in Germany, where the AFD have been getting stronger, and a particularly nasty racist group Pegida, are getting more popular almost by the day. Same in Italy, and though not on the same scale, over here many nasty right wing racist groups are getting stronger.
The right is in the ascendancy unfortunately..just open your eyes, its there to see

UpminsterO wrote: Sat May 23, 2020 12:29 pm Money and political corruption are complex but it exists
The lot with the money will always have the upper hand on their desired views being implemented
Most countries appear as another poster said going more right wing extreme and it's obvious most politicians in every country go into politics for ; personal ego / fame / networking to assist their own needs / then in uk they get a leg up into the lords and sap even more like a title in the queens or or prime minister lists

It's s joke the right wing - they really should not be in control any where

In some counties it's bound up with very right wing religious views which are unhealthy too
That's the answer then religion, I thought C of E was more social minded not rabid right wing, strange how you managed to turn it into a right wing political way of thinking

The Right in the UK doing there utmost to back an unelected civil servant,
who is heavily involved in the policy making of this country .

The Man who single handedly led the Brexit campaign with many
examples of Unelected EU officials interfering in the running of the UK.

Laughable.

Makes a bit hard for him to resign from job he hasn't got, but I shouldn't think that will stop the rabid left from demanding his resignation

Well no one's perfect, not even me. Boris won't sack him anyway, also the job has no job description and he's only responsible to Boris not employed by the government so not governed by their principles. Anyway that's enough for now.
