It's possible because he is indeed useless, but as long as the Tories don't plummet in the polls and his ratings remain perplexingly positive, he'll stay in office unless he decides he's had enough.

Yet another of this constant stream of similar so called ''News Reports'' posted on Yahoo from the Independent and Guardian that are constantly anti Brexit, pro labour Party and anti Conservative Party.
Here is another one by that Labour Dinosaur, Polly Toynbee !

As to who to blame, well I have taken it seriously but the same cannot be said for many people in this country who have ignored the safety measures given. As I was told many times when I worked for a few multi national companys as a maintenance engineer ( last company was a Pharma manufacturing company ) Always told ''You are your OWN safety officer'' I have personally kept shopping to a minimum, going out around once every 2 or 3 weeks, either early morning or late at evening. Also worn a visor, gloves and mask when going out, many others I have seen have ignored social distancing when out shopping and worn no gloves or masks, even when they have been coughing themselves. Foolish to blame everything on the government.

Boris IS utterly incompetent. I don't see how anyone can deny that.
As for the support for the Tory scum in the polls being perplexing - it's not the polls are fixed.

If you sacked every leader because of their handling of this Pandemic, almost every leader across the world would have to step down.
You only here what's happening & possibly going wrong in our country but all there's terrible things happening in other countries you just don't hear about.
These are unprecedented times & there are No set rules or procedures in place to deal with it.
I know some horrible story's of stuff happening in care homes in Spain & if it happend over here Boris would be strung up for murder but the negative reporters don't write this they just want to have a dig at our government.

Toynbee always has all the answers........many weeks after the actual event. She is so deluded in her views and could not run even a small business herself if she was put in that position. I saw a confrontation between her and an economist on a tv news programme where when confronted with the facts, she ended up speechless when shown to be a complete economic dummy.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 10:52 amNever been a fan of Toynbee ever since she ratted on Labour to join the SDP. Completely true. i get the feeling that many with left wing views actually dont wish well for the Uk, its all about personal political point scoring.North Stand Dave wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 11:04 am If you sacked every leader because of their handling of this Pandemic, almost every leader across the world would have to step down.

think it's a bit harsh overall, the geezer came in mid-season and scored a couple. He looked a bit like a donkey but we should give him the full season to prove himself.

Wrong, wrong, wrong fella. You need to look beyond the UK. Plenty of countries around the world seem to have managed this crisis much better than us. Of course, you could investigate and discover this for yourself if you can be bothered. The Daily Mail / Sun don’t need to be your sole source of information.North Stand Dave wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 11:04 am If you sacked every leader because of their handling of this Pandemic, almost every leader across the world would have to step down.

I've got relatives in Italy who have been saying the same thing about their government as people have in the UK about ours. And I haven't bought newspapers since this started so didn't get my information from them!!

No I don't need to investigate it as you say, i have a cousin who's lived in Spain for the last 14 years & an Uncle who lives in France for the last 20 years & they keep me updated with true events what are ACTUALLY happening in their countries & not through our media & what they choose to write.
And from the stuff their both telling me it's not all rosy & everything going smoothly in those countries either.
But your Kuenssbergs & your PESTons of the media only choose to point out the good points for comparison.. conveniently.
Do they report that in Spain when a majority of patients in a care home have the virus the carers pull themselves out lock the door behind them & let them all die together? Well you know the answer otherwise you would of heard about it but oh no wonky mouth Kuenssberg wont compare that will she & thars just one of MANY stories I'm being.
All I'm saying as I'm not defending Boris is it's not easy out there & yes he is making some mistakes but then on a majority of issues he's taking scientific advise & if Corbyn was standing up there he would be doing the same.
So don't patronise me about head in the sand as my family doesn't make this up.

Re: Johnson out by xmas
Boris's mistakes as you call them are Category 1 error caused by his ideology favouring profit over people. Corbyns approach would be diametrically opposed to that approach.North Stand Dave wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 12:39 pm No I don't need to investigate it as you say, i have a cousin who's lived in Spain for the last 14 years & an Uncle who lives in France for the last 20 years & they keep me updated with true events what are ACTUALLY happening in their countries & not through our media & what they choose to write.

However, what Corbyn might have done is a complete irrelevance to the current situation.
BTW I read about the care home situation in Spain and just because you have relations in France or Spain doesn't mean what they tell you is right.

Meanwhile on this forum, mainly left ''whingers'' constantly carp and moan about everything the government has done since this mystery virus descended upon, us yet run scared at the thought of putting a tracing app on their smart phones to help monitor and curtail this awful disease ! No mention of the HUGE financial aid packages given out here there and everywhere to help save businesses and help people get through the crisis, not even an acknowledgement.

One of them was Test, Trace and Isolate like they did with real conviction and resources in NZ, Japan and South Korea. Remind me what their death rates look like.
