With Wrexham out..

Post by Esteban »

... does this mean that the Football League will get a first time member regardless of who wins the play-off final?

Unfortunately I can see it being Salford.

In terms of league position across the whole season, Fylde was the most consistently highly placed team. Never worse than 9th.

I suppose from an away game angle Eastleigh would be the best bet.
Can't say any of them is exactly a mouth watering prospect.

Agree.

If I had a choice I’d say Fylde.

Salford must start as favourites
But then I didn’t think they would lose at home to Fylde.

Personally hope Eastleigh do it. 20 mins drive for me. Although the death walk down the road to the stadium I could do without on a Tuesday night again.

Why must they start as favourites?

Will Salford be restricted in their spending in League Two due to turnover rules that don't apply in non league

Just goes to show how bonkers the play-off system in the NL is. A team which finished 12 points behind 2nd place could still go up to the football league, whilst 2nd place gets nothing.

There really are no redeeming features about that pit of a league.

Sadly I think Salford will go up. They will then spend big to try to get to Div 1. I would like Solihull to go up. They finished 2nd & ran us close in 2 matches. Whoever is in the final the crowd will be lowish

Solihull are just a hoof it up and kick the opposition team, no fan of that.
Salford do at least play football, showed that when they gave us a tonking in January.

Although Solihull have done well with their resources, I did hate they way they played.
I don't want Salford to do it because of their famous Man Utd directors. Surely they've already had enough success with Man Utd.
I too would like Fylde to win it. Also that might make them less focussed for the game against us.

We've already put the big time jonah's on Wrexham.Seemed last night they could have played till midnight and not scored.

Lets all vote for Salford to go up. :)

Why make Salford favourites? They've been crap recently so why should they suddenly be the team to beat. Eastleigh had to play extra time last night so Salford will have the advantage of a long rest but even so I may have a little punt on Eastleigh. I'd love to see them screw Salford over and I'd also prefer Salford not to come up with us for all the obvious reasons.

Solihull are probably the most consistent of the play off group. I would go for them.

I hope Fylde, if not then Eastleigh, failing that Solihull. But I think it will be $alford. The only good thing about that is it’s a decent weekend away, spoiled only by the game.
