Bandoff - Gangster Movie Edition - Quarter Final result and SF Draw

Well well well, no massive surprises in the Quarters.
The Long Good Friday was always going to struggle, and so it transpired, going down 22-11 to Goodfellas - I'm sure Harold felt much as he did while being driven away from the Savoy as the credits rolled. No surprise that the better Godfather II beat Road to Perdition - the Tom Hanks flick had been hanging on by fingertips and was soundly trounced. I had high hopes for Once Upon a Time in America, even up against a Godfather, because it's simply one of the best films ever made (all genres - although Once Upon a Time in the West was pretty fantastic too - look out for that when Westerns come around), but sadly the voting boarding public preferred to follow their instincts and the familiar (and Family-er) standby, and Marlon & Co carried the day.
Finally, Scarface came up against Pulp Fiction and lost in a late charge by Tarantino. Honey Bunny will be so please, Pumkin.

And so we come to the draw:
Boarders will be disappointed to see that the two Godfather movies have been drawn together in the Semi, rather than processing to the final, so they'll be duking it out in the bottom match. In the top match, has Pulp Fiction reached the end of the line - Goodfellas is there waiting and it's saying "Do you think I'm funny? Funny how? "
