Just watched O's v Newcastle on you tube from 1965 Match of the Day division2. The O's won 2-1 with both goals from Joe Ellwood and playing for the geordies at left back was a young Frank Clark.
We were bottom of the league and Newcastle were at the top. Good watch and the pitch was in fantastic condition.

I met Joe Ellwood a couple of years ago in Walthamstow. He recognised me as a supporter, and he still was going to games. Kept looking out for him but never seen him since. Hope he’s OK, and that we’ll all meet again!
