So the p-p-p-p-p-p-plucky Penguin managed to overhaul Maryland Cookies in the final furlong, while Chocolate Digestives opened their legs, showed their class, and eased away from Shortbread (the whole of Scotland mourned).
56 Started this journey, now only 2 remain. Round after round they've duked it out, flour and sugar spilled, now we wait. On this, St Georges Day, the anniversary of that other great battle twixt a Turkish man and a dragon, we will see which is our favourite biscuit.
Vote early, vote often. We'll know tomorrow, when the smoke of battle clears

Penguin even only came second in its Group - second to Tunnocks Caramel Wafers.

Too many non-biscuits allowed to compete have ruined this.

This is a bit like a minor cup final. Some greats have been wasted as part of this process.

Mismatch, Penguin will not get off the ground
Chocolate Digestive will fly to victory by 90% to 10%.

How chocolate Hobnobs never made the final is a disgrace

Tunnocks Caramel Wafers are awesome, yet came nowhere.

What a dull climax! Pah. Not even worthy of a pre-final Itβs A Knockout. Still, I expect the McVities oligarchs will be pleased to see both their A team and a feeder club in the mix.

The Penguin v Maryland Cookie semi-final was definitely the match of the tournament.

Do you remember digestives with Caramac chocolate? Fabulous. Used to buy a packet when I got my paper round pay on a Saturday and eat a whole packet in a oner. Probably about 2000 calories, but no big deal when your an energetic 13 year old

I used to be a massive fan of Caramac - I shall have to see if I can rekindle the affair.

Well there you have it - a pretty one-sided affair in the final. I think it was Dunners who called it (while we were playing Bandoff - the bands edition), so you all seem to be pretty predictable.
So far, we can ascertain that this board likes The Beatles and Chocolate Digestives.

Didn't George have a major row with Yoko after she nicked one of his chocolate digestives ?

Completely the wrong final. Shortbread vs Maryland Cookies would have been an absolute belter
Needs to be a third place playoff with them two, which will be the REAL final

Or I could set up a vote for boarders to pick ONE champion from the final 16 (less Choc Digestives, Penguins and, say other "wrapped" items like Clubs etc - or other contestants that Choc Ds have beaten head-to-head) and see if a Repechage event between that champion and Choc Digestives might produce a different winner?
We did something similar up in Perth when we invented Bandoff, because we didn't like that Spandau Ballet won it
Reckon one of these could unseat Chocolate Digestives ?
Choco Leibniz
Chocolate Fingers
Chocolate Hobnobs
Kit Kat
Maryland Cookies
McVitie Ginger Nuts
Tunnock's Caramel Wafers
Twix
Viennese Whirls
Wagon Wheels
