We all are aware that on 31st Jan this year, we went into a period of transition regarding our membership of the EU, with the following 11 months set aside to negotiate a deal with the EU. I said to all that would listen, at that time, No way would Johnson get a deal, because deep down he didnt want one, and wanted to leave the EU with no deal all along.
Those of us with more than a single brain cell realised it would be a disaster for the ordinary man and woman, because we would all be poorer......prices would rise alarmingly, and wages wouldnt.
Now we have the Covid-19 pandemic, so now when the economy is doing badly, the Leavers will have a ready made excuse......convenient eh?

" It's not Brexit guv, its the pandemic last year thats causing all the financial grief mate"

To think it all could've been done and dusted by now if remainers hadn't tried to thwart the will of the people at every turn.

That wouldn't have put the UK in a stronger position than its in today. I see that eventually the UK is now joining with the EU Alliance in order to work together to get medical supplies worldwide. The UK refused this for probably the last month or so.

And it was said today by Hancock that not one piece of ppe has been provided to anyone under that scheme. Doesn’t sound too great a scheme to me.

It turns out that the civil servant who made the initial accusation against our Government was utterly mistaken and has now retracted his comment.
This civil servant is known to be fervently pro-remain so questions must be asked about his stepping into the political arena purely for the purpose of mischief-making. He ought to be considering his position on account of the damage he has caused, not least to his own reputation, as a so-called apolitical servant of the state.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this bloke is moved on from his post following this act of disloyalty to the state.
